Love it

Another game that I got in a bundle like many others, but unlike some of the others, I got the bundle for it, rather than "oh and this was in there too" The game is a lot of fun, runs without major problems or difficulties, allows for easy coop, and rewards people for doing coop (something many games lack) I enjoyed the graphics and the soundtrack, as well as the game play. The customization is rather basic, but adequate. There are a few issues with the game that do need to be resolved though, do not overuse the dodge mechanic, you might find yourself dodging out of the map altogether. The fact that people can ruin your run of a level by not entering the exit in coop mode, can be a little annoying, I haven't encountered it often as the community in the game is surprisingly positive and helpful (I've actually met some good friends playing the game, again the game rewards you for coop, being a troll is not rewarded), and finally there is 1 broken achievement, we are being promised a fix in May, but as of right now the game cannot be 100%ed, I personally like to 100% games that I enjoy and sadly wasn't able to do so with this game due to the glitch. This game is fun to play with friends and both the PVE and PVP are entertaining. I'm quoting mrsmith317's review here "[meltdown is]like a cross between Hotline Miami and Bastion", although meltdown isn't quite as good as either of those games, it is still an excellent game, hopefully all the little kinks get ironed out.

Pretty neat game

The screenshot of this game grabbed me so I decided to give it a try. It's a fun, no-frills action game that starts off easy but does gets tough. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is fun and the music and sound are suitable. As others have noted, the game does have a Bastion/Hotline Miami sort of gameplay and does feel a little slow at time. Despite its simplicity, the controls feel a little awkward when things get busy but then I'm only a casual gamer. Overall this game is fun but does require some grinding to get the upgrades necessary to clear some level. Still, for a cheap game it is pretty good.

Fun little game

This game is a pretty fun game it's bastion but with a little more action. The graphics are unique. The only downside is that the game is not the fastest game that I've ever seen. It would've been better if it was a little faster. But it's a great game overall!

Fun game but a bit slow

mrsmith317 | April 25, 2014 | See all mrsmith317's reviews »

This game could be much better if it were a bit faster like Hotline Miami. The upgrade system is pretty standard and you can quickplay your way to a BA character before you ever take on a real mission. The game feels like a cross between Hotline Miami and Bastion. I have yet to play multiplayer but I really do enjoy this game. It gets a pass from me, and I reserve the right to re-review it when it has been officially released.
