Rise of the Triad is a remake of an old 3D FPS shooter, very close to the classic Wolfenstein 3D or its sequel - Spear of Destiny. The original was a really weird game at its time, and he remake manages to capture a lot of its character. Everything seems to be overdone and strange - weapons, injuries, gore, and even some puzzles which require monkey's dexterity. Visual side is comparable to the graphics of currently released shooters (maybe not from the upper price range though) but it still bears some marks of its roots, which is obviously a deliberate nod in their direction. Then we get a pack of old games as a bonus. In this extra pack there is: Rise of the Triad, Extreme Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold & Blake Stone: Planet Strike. They won't impress a modern gamer, but are a nice collector's thing and a chance of seeing what was remade into the new game. I wouldn't buy the pack for the old games alone, but with the same price as the remake - why shouldn't you get it with the bonus pack?
