Space Run is a real-time spaceship construction strategy game. Space Run takes the well-known Tower Defense-style gameplay and twists it, challenging you to manage and protect a spaceship and its cargo against the hazards of deep space!
Space can be a dangerous place. You’re one of the most daring «Space Transporters», people who carry the dangerous task of transporting valuable shipments from one place to another across hazardous space. Take on increasingly difficult missions as your reputation grows: bringing more expensive cargo to their destination will earn you credits to unlock new ship modules and upgrades that will help you survive the lethal threats of space: laser turrets, missile launchers, protection shields, thrusters, power generators... you name it! You’ll have to quickly adapt to every new situations if you wish to survive, building modules on your ship as you fly across space. The faster you fly and reach your destination, the better your reputation, allowing you to unlock more difficult delivery missions!

A really fun and unique tower defenseMurderbot735 | July 29, 2015 | See all Murderbot735's reviews »
In space run you play as a guy (whose name I've forgot and I don't bother to load up the game, sorry) whose job is to deliver different stuff for different companies. It's everything from passengers on luxury cruises to explosive waste. You begin with loading that on your space-ship, that consists of hexagons, and then place down an engine. Then you get money from destroying asteroids and enemy ships, and with the money you can build many different parts, like shield generators, many different turrets, stronger engines and more. Your score on the mission depends on how fast you do it, and how much of your cargo made it. Completing missions rewards you with new missions and currency that can be spent on unlocking and upgrading modules. If you're interested in tower defense with a nice twist, then you should really get this.
A fun take on Tower Defense, but no Privateeruriel222 | Nov. 16, 2014 | See all uriel222's reviews »
Space Run's greatest strength is also it's biggest weakness. The core of the game is you have a ship with a very limited deckplan, and have to "fit" in your weapons and defenses, Tetris style, with more powerful equipment have larger, more awkward shapes. This starts as a neat twist on the usual Tower Defense formula, but soon becomes an exercise in frustration as you find the upgrades you've been grinding for are next to useless as you can't fit them in anywhere. The presentation, UI and voice acting are all first-rate, and really evoke a "trucker" vibe. Fun to play for a bit, but no real depth. Value to money? Probably worth about $5 or so.

Space Run is basically a moving tower-defense game. Your spaceship has to transport various materials and you have to defend against various obstacles. The gameplay is suprisingly fun. The frantic micro-management against incoming waves of enemies is really fun. Sound design is pretty good as well as the soundtrack. Graphical fidelity is pretty good considering the budget of this game. Overall this game is pretty good. I would recommend this to fans of tower-defense games. I'm not a fan of those games and this game just shows how well they impressed me.
