Well executed adventure

Animation Arts has again created a felicitous adventure in its well known adventure series Secret Files. Secret Files 3 (Geheimakte 3) brings great and diversified puzzles (for experts maybe to easy sometimes) and again mixes a fictitious story with real historical events. Even the mini games are fitting in and leave you the choice of two levels of difficulty. Orchestration, dramatic and cinematic presentation in Secret Files 3 are great and the game even provides several playable characters also as endings - depending on the decisions you make. Although the game lacks optimization of animations and the graphic presentation is getting kind of outdated due to the age of the engine, the game still looks pretty good. Overall it's quite a recommendation for all adventure gamers.

Clearly the worst of the saga

I expected this third part and when I tested it Ithe only thing I have obtained was a huge disappointment. The story sucks big time, puzzles and mini-games are boring (except the "statue-rocking" game, which was hard and also boring), graphics are not pretty and customizable main menu pointless.

Not good like the first two

Secret Files 3 is an adventure game that continues the story of Nina and Max. The graphic is quite good like in the first two games and the game is quite easy and never frustrating because there is a good hint system that helps you when you have problems. If you have played the first two titles of the series maybe you will find this game not really good: the NPC you will find are not really interesting and the story is boring compared to the first two Secret Files,

Not that amazing

jeyko | Sept. 14, 2012 | See all jeyko's reviews »

Secret Files 3 is the third game in the Secret Files series. It is a usual point and click. The puzzles are great and distinctive compared to other puzzle games, but there really isn't anything special. The art style is not that good, the music is not memorable. I enjoyed it to a certain degree but doubt I will replay it ever again.

Secret File 3 - can it beat the 2 generation?

leoleelok | Sept. 14, 2012 | See all leoleelok's reviews »

Overall A- As an AVG type of game, it is important to put special focus on the atmosphere it creates throughout the game, otherwise, why don't you just go for Diablo III? And Secret File 3 does a good job here, creating a feeling of myth throughout the game, stimulating player's imagination and thought to solve all the puzzle. Good puzzles and myths, pretty good garphics and average sound effect. But it does an amazing job here. I would say... it's better than generation 2.

UI Easy, you can finish the whole game without encountering any difficulty in control and things like that. You will never have troubles with the system UI. Easy to understand, easy to use, and extremely user friendly

Sound effects Average, not a game that you will remember after years. I mean, you still remember the music and sound effect of Diablo II throughout the year, but this game, it's just average. To be fair, it still does a pretty good job.

Graphics What to expect with a AVG game? The focus of the game in on solving difficult problems and myth. For me, the graphics are pretty good already. No complaint on that.
