When you played this game (back in the day) on the original Xbox, you were viewed as the coolest kid in the class. Why, might you ask? Well because this game had set the standards for a lot of RPG's these days. Now, I know that morrowind set the ALL time standards for open world, but this game, THIS game set the bar of graphics AND gameplay, a game that was so enjoyable to play, and very pleasing to the eye! The game had awesome action, sidequests, an arena, a main campaign, and it featured your own character growing up! most games you'll never see your character age, but in this one, you do! It was a fantastic game back then, and this remastered edition is just as good!

This is a classic RPG game that has been remastered with new HD graphics, menu schemes, and the ability to use a PC controller. The plot, voice acting, and game mechanics are the same. If you loved the first one and love the convenience of a gaming controller, you should definitely give this a try. It will give you nostalgia for sure. Even if you haven't played this, this is a great RPG by itself. The price does seem a little high for just updated graphics and control schemes if you own the original. For me, it seemed fair. This game has it's fair share of bugs but the developers are hard at work with releasing patches and updates. It runs fine for me now after the first patch.
I really love this RPG game and if you like RPG's, I recommend you to try this one!

I remember playing this game when it first came out way back when. Fable Anniversary is a great digitally remastered game from the original. The graphics are way better, the sounds are amazing and its just an all around fun game. Plus you get to go back to Albion and decide your fate as a hero to society or a evil being.
The reason why i give this game a rating of 80 is because while the game is still so awesome there are some issues i had while playing. One of the issues i had was the game freezing periodically at random parts of the game ( does this on both Xbox and PC). Another i had was the fact that the Combat system was kind of clunky and you missed lots of potential hits on someone. The final was the non-smooth movement, it didn't really kind of flow, it was more of walk, stop, turn then begin walking rather than walk while turning.
Above all this game is A great RPG with a great story. This game will give you hours of endless fun whether you are a young one playing the game for the first time or are a Fable Veteran and want to replay for Nostalgia purposes.

This game really brings back a lot of memories for me. And hey even better now we can play it in full HD. The environments really look great and most of the game has really aged well. Even the parts that haven't aged as well (the voice acting especially) are quaint and quirky enough that you probably won't mind much especially if you were a fan of the original. The price is a bit steep though so keep in mind this is mostly a new set of paint and an updated control scheme. So if those things are worth it, then I can't recommend this enough.

Played this game years back. Was one of my favorite. We didn't have that much high standards back then but the ones we had this game had nailed.
And now It's just the same all over again - me with a huge grin fighting in Albion and making decisions that reflect on my character's appearance.
Combat system is still a bit lacking (maybe cause I played DmC the past days and have higher expectations now) but still very fun game otherwise.
