I've played Mass Effect games for a while, so I had high expectations for the final game. Luckily, although the game is almost as much third person shooter as RPG, the game still retains much of what makes Bioware (Baldurs Gate, Knights of The Old Republic) stuff great. I found the interface a much needed improvement to the 2nd one, and the engine was given a refit as well. The only issue I see is the game can feel too much like a movie sometimes, but the story is very good as far as it goes, and I would say this is a near perfect game!

Just a note, My review is based on having the Extended Cut DLC (free). This is a great game not just because it wraps up everything, but because it is a shooter with a story, unlike so many other games out there (any CoD Game).

Nothing is better than loosing ones self in an ongoing story, filled to the brim with in your face action or sometimes sand in your shorts. All depends on how you roll your tongue or kick potential foes/friends in the crouch to get your way or the mass relay. Pick plot and plunder all in the name of the cause Human (pathetic) kind and voyage across the seas of cheese, let the ships fall where they lay.
Enough about how I feel for this game, lets continue with WHY YOU MUST PLAY....Beautiful game inside and out tons of story with excellent detailed characters whom are all on there own privet journey. Amongst the mayhem and current mission set forth to face the bitter end. Unlike most of games whom have petered after their second installation Mass Effect 3 is a tried and true masterpiece of science fiction with a ton action/adventure thats bound to get you. Even complaining about the ending only because it was out of your control in the first place only proves how much your going to enjoy playing.

ME3 is a thrilling, hilarious, and tear-jerking conclusion to a truly epic game experience. The combat gives you lots of options and keeps to a nice pace; the NPCs are par for the course for BioWare - fully fleshed, interactive, and great fun to have along. A lot of bittersweet moments, as everyone knows that the end is coming, so touching farewells are here in abundance and are a welcome part of the experience. I was very much moved by Shepherds last big moments with Garrus, for instance. Well done, BioWare!
That said, the ending is a bit of a pill, if you haven't heard. I'm afraid I simply had to pretend that things happened differently, and could not in any way go for what the game seemed to indicate was the optimal solution. Too bad, really. Another potential negative - the almost required multiplayer - was actually very nicely done. I didn't want any part of it, but I gave it a chance and had a few fun hours with it.
For the best experience, I do recommend the digital deluxe edition - the From Ashes DLC will give you another NPC who was clearly meant to be a core aspect of the game. Don't miss out on Javik!
