A Gem from the Action RPG Genre

JetStreamJam | Oct. 25, 2013 | See all JetStreamJam's reviews »

Titan Quest Gold is a very good game. It has a lot of customization where you can combine different classes to make a new one and will have quite a lot of sub classes about 30+ if I remember correctly. The Greek mythology theme is nice and you will enjoy the different types of dungeons you will go to since it feels and looks different from each other. The price of this game now is very cheap and will be worth every penny with its rich content and great replay value.

Titan Quest review

carlyle | Dec. 14, 2012 | See all carlyle's reviews »

Titan Quest is an action role-playing game that goes back to the very pillar of the genre, Diablo, where you will, through your character, save the planet from the threat of mythological Titans, escaped from Erebus. The creation of his alter-ego is very small. In addition to the usual attributes (strength, dexterity ...) you can choose two of eight disciplines that govern different characteristics, such as resistance to shocks rather than the mastery of fire magic. Within each of these you may distribute the experience points in order to enhance a particular skill (eg berserk mode for masters in battle) and thus give birth to heroes with unique characteristics, partially compensating for the limited initial. The adventure is vast, and take you to explore landscapes Greek, Egyptian and Asian, all very detailed and rich in historical references, the oracle at Delphi to the Great Wall. An important characteristic is that, as in Dungeon Siege, the map is a continuum devoid of loadings between a setting and the other. The view is isometric and can not be changed.

Great Hack and Slash RPG

rstokes | Dec. 10, 2012 | See all rstokes's reviews »

Titan Quest Gold contains both the core game and the game's only expansion "Immortal Throne" Which adds several new classes, raises the level cap and opens a whole new chapter. A playthrough should take around 10-20 hours depending on how many side quests you do and how much you explore.

The game's combat and UI feels familiar but not necessarily copied, for example it uses the standard point and click to move/attack controls but it features a dual class system, which when paired with the large number of classes the game has, allows for some interesting combinations.

Bottom line is if you enjoy point and click isometric RPGs such as diablo or torchlight, you will also love titan quest

If you hate Diablo 3...

then buy this. This game is a truly hack and slash, the real "sequel" of Diablo 2. Fight your way among a lot of enemies, build up your character with many skills, armors and weapon. This includes the expansion set "Immortal Throne",that continue tha main story of the game.Graphic is not that stunning (but hey,it's a 2006 game),but if you need a solid h&s rpg, this is for you!
