And that's about it, really.
However, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is another solid offering in the series in a very similar vein to Borderlands 2. If you liked Borderlands 2, you'll probably like this one too. That is, however, unless you were expecting something totally new.
Obviously laser weapons, the cryo element and especially low-gravity are all new additions. While they certainly feel well thought out, they also don't revolutionize anything like you might hope a (pre)sequel would. They don't feel tacked on like an afterthought that doesn't matter; they do change the way you play, but not enough for this to feel like a completely new experience.
On the positive side, the characters are still interesting and the gameplay is still fun. At the end of the day, however, many of your questions will still remain unanswered, and while this game is certainly very entertaining, it feels more like a tease before the inevitable Borderlands 3 than truly its own beast.

Had high expectations for this one following the last trailer prior to launch. The game seems pretty short and the areas too large and populated with very few missions. The second playthrough had a nice twist to it but it doesn't seem like it was worth $60. They should have just saved the content for BL3. Thumbs down.

Played this at my friend's place and this game kick's butt and then some! With so much to do, Easter Eggs to find, and plenty more this is the game to play with your friends and entertain all around!
More of the same greatness!phoenix1120 | Oct. 20, 2014 | See all phoenix1120's reviews »
Let's get this out of the way, if you didn't like the previous two games, you probably won't like this one. If you did like the previous games, then I think it's safe to say you'll love this one as well. It's more of the same great gameplay, with some added features like laser guns, low gravity, butt stomping, and more. The visuals are great, the gameplay is fast and frantic, and the looting is better than ever. This is a safe recommendation for fans of the series. It retains some of the flaws of the previous game, but those are minor issues in what is probably the best borderlands game to date!
Its borderlands, and its always goodMrBongoGT | Oct. 17, 2014 | See all MrBongoGT's reviews »
Well the borderlands story continues and it continues to impress and entertain. Its borderlands on the moon, whats not to like? If you love borderlands then you obviously must get this game but its even more entertaining for people like me who love jumping in games. Low gravity jumping and gravity slams are extremely entertaining for me. Of course there is much more to the game as its dated before borderlands 2 and the story of handsome jack.
PS you get to play as claptrap, I know a lot of people I know have wanted to play as him and now you get your chance.
