Agricultural Simulator 2011
In a charming mountain area you can take the role of a classic farmer with all the necessary tasks like cattle breeding, growing grain and other resources as well as dealing with products from your farm. Your fields can be cultivated with machines from CLAAS and even your animals have to be taken care of.
Many genuine tractors and the possibility to ride all of them make the Agricultural Simulator complete. Choose between many different models of tractors, combines, extensions and hangers. Sell your products and invest into better equipment. More powerful machines will help you to farm bigger areas.
As striving farmer you have to invest carefully to maximize the crop. Don’t kick over the traces or you won’t be able to upgrade your farm and to buy more land. Choose the right seed from different types of grains like barley, rye, or wheat or decide to grow canola or corn. The harvest can be used as animal food, new seed as well as product to be sold on the market. Always have an eye on the market prices so you don’t come out with losses after all the work.
Get another main pillar and breed cattle: cows, horses, sheep, hen, and geese. You may even have game animals on your farm and sell them profitable as food. If everything works well the animals will prosper and you can sell their offspring on the market. Your animals need your full attention. Take care of proper feeding, daily care of the stables, and even their well-being. Having so much to take care of you will sooner or later need help. Hire workers and invest into their further education.
The career mode in Agricultural Simulator with all those challenges guarantees a lot of fun. Playing the cooperative game mode allows managing your farm either online or offline together with your friends

I've always been interested in farming/agriculture so this was definitely a simulator that I was very excited for. I haven't played any other simulators so I can't comment on how it compares but I can say that I have had a lot of fun. You start out with a standard farm with 2 plots of farm-able land that you can upgrade as you go. You use Euros to purchase things which I thought was very cool because I'm an American so it was kind of fun to pretend I was working on my farm in Europe (just a nice touch). The controls can be a bit hard to work with, especially if you suck at using a kb/m like me but you get the hang of things pretty fast. There were a couple other things that I thought were pretty neat: 1) using the manure from your farm animals for your fields 2) the fact that the cars driving on the road wait for you to cross if you are on your tractor instead of driving through you or something else. 3) damage to your tractors (if you keep banging into things like me). Like another reviewer said, there is a lot of waiting so I usually watch TV while playing or something else and it works out nicely. Overall, a fun sim!

i have tried the farming simulator 2011. this one is by far way better then that. the graphics, the way you dont just randomly start out with vehicle you have to buy them, i think that this game would be a very good game if you are in to like farming and stuff.

This sim can be defined as a ton of waiting...and waiting..and just clicking. You don't do much at all, REALLY. You drive a tractor...around a pretty surreal farm and just..drive. You don't do anything else. sometimes..these actions take forever too. And the visuals don't make up for it too, they are bland and boring. Soundtrack is equally as lame. No saving graces sadly. What I liked..was that the animals shake their ears. Pretty cute but not realistic enough. This doesn't even run in some of the highest resolutions...below average sims.
Unfortunately, one of the worst sims I've seenXbomborz | July 10, 2011 | See all Xbomborz's reviews »
This game attempts to follow in the path of such simulators as Flight Simulator X and Roller Coaster Tycoon, but ends up being vastly inferior. With outdated graphics, a horrible physics engine which sends farming equipment literally bouncing off of objects, poor sound quality, and a whole list of other problems, this is a disappointment. I bought this game thinking that it would be similar to the John Deere Drive Green game which I really love, but this just ends up being a mess of a copycat. Although it is playable, this game could have and should have been better.
