Combat Wings: Battle of Britain
"the best flying game we've seen from this developer to date and a spirited look at WWII dogfighting that should bring a smile to anyone with an itchy trigger finger and a hankering for action." - IGN.com
"for those who find this type of game appealing then there is much to recommend." - HardwareHeaven.com
There’s something new in the air, and it’s more than the hum of hundreds of aero engines... As the Luftwaffe launches its aerial offensive, the outnumbered Royal Air Force is scrambling to bring into combat new planes that will ensure victory over a stronger foe. Will they succeed? It’s up to you, and your Hurricane or Spitfire. If you hold off the enemy long enough, you’ll be the first to fly the Hawker Tornado and Westland Whirlwind into combat, and enable the Empire to strike back before Reichsmarschall Goering finishes his breakfast. You’ll be rewarded with bonus missions, promotions, decorations, and a view of burning Berlin from the tail turret of a Halifax bomber.

In my opinion this game is one of the best WW2 flying games. It's not a simulation - it's simple, yet funny and addictive arcade game for couple of weeks. Graphics and sounds are OK, gameplay is amazing. For this price it is a must-buy game. I recommend this game to everyone, not only to warplanes or WW2 fans.

Combat Wings : Battle of Britain take place in WW2 era. Your job : Defend British sky from Nazi Luftwaffe invasion. The gameplay is good, graphics are stunning, and the sound is great. The voice acting is good, and sometimes makes you laugh, especially after shooting down some enemy. also, some times you take a role as an gunner, in land and in plane. And don't forget to collect the medal as reward.Nice game to spend some time in the sky.

I have played aviation games as long as I can remember, and so when Combat Wings: Battle of Britain came out, I was of course enthusiastic, but a bit skeptical too.
I convinced myself that it would be great, and haven't looked back since. This game is one of the best of its kind, with modest graphics, but great gameplay with smooth controls.
I never get bored with it, and after work I take my aeroplane for another spin. I definitely recommend this game to everyone.
