Euro Truck Simulator 2 drives you in uncountable hours of pure, simple and relaxing entertainment. Through the roads of central Europe this game gives you the possibility to feel like a real delivery-man loading lots of different cargoes in numerous trucks. Visually the game has had an astonishing enhancement since the previous euro truck simulator though with time the scenarios tend to get repetitive and annoying. One aspect that caught my curiosity was that you can easily find and listen to numerous radio stations from the available countries which really gives you a relaxing sensation. Driving through different cities and particularly different countries leads you to diverse sights, roads and, of course, driving rules. I found the map to be quite simplistic and monotonous and Mediterranean countries such as Portugal and Spain were left out of the game for my own frustration. Nevertheless, the recent add of steam achievements is a great way to extend the life-time of the game by bringing new motivation to keep playing.
Best Simulator Ever!!!ajaysankarj | June 4, 2015 | See all ajaysankarj's reviews »
First of all I say this is a truck driving simulator where you can actually drive trucks across europe and perform deliveries. Unlike other simulators this is a good game where you can feel relaxed and happiness. Moreover developers reward their customers occasionally by giving free DLCs by playing this game. I already got 3 paid DLCs for free from this developer. Now considering the gameplay, game uses a day-night cycle, you can build a trucking company inside the game; perform deliveries using hired drivers and make profit. I mostly played with an Xbox 360 controller, I have to manually assign keys to the controller to get a better experience. You have to perform deliveries within the preferred time limit. Deliveries with no damage will get extra goodies as reward. Pros: 1. Best Truck Driving Simulator 2. Good graphics 3. Lots of trucks Cons: 1. No direct Multiplayer support

First of all this game is incredibly relaxing. Pick the right radio station or play your own playlists and just drive around - you will start feeling better about yourself in no time. As a simulator you'd expect difficult controls, stressful need for accuracy and high price for mistakes - but its not there. Its not arcadish in common sense either though - it balances in between. Kinda hard to explain, but if you start playing you'll feel it immediately. The game rewards you with feeling of accomplishment as much as any hard simulator does. But at the same time it will punish you for mistakes as little as arcades do, so you wouldn't get demoralised as much. And yet it feels realistic. All that should be enough to at least check the game out but there is much much more. Active developers, lots of free stuff comes with patches, fairly priced addons with huge amounts of content, free player-made mods, good traffic AI, great visuals, sounds, optimisation etc.. Overall its a must-have for anyone who enjoys well-done games in any genre and a must-try for pretty much anyone else. Demo is free after all.

Great game for SCS software. They really know how to make a good quality game with amazing updates. The of the best updates is the Multiplayer Mod. That is the best thing about ETS 2. Would definitely recommend this game to anyone, even if you hate cars and trucks. Play it with some friends, it will make the whole experience even better!

One of the most dull looking popular games of the era may also be one of its most addictive. When asked about Euro Truck Simulator 2, most people who haven't played it would not believe that it averages out as the third highest rated game on Steam. People who have played it know why. The game ties together the nihilistic number accumulation of RPGs, the realistic driving of hardcore simulators, the business aspects of the tycoons of yesteryear and the exploration of adventure games. It can appeal to almost anyone. Besides the complete sense of accomplishment which comes with every milestone, the game has created an amazing atmosphere of calm melancholy combined with a feeling one can only describe as nostalgia. I've never been to Europe, so shouldn't feel nostalgic about it - but what is nostalgic is the idea of travelling. The problem with many peoples travels is that they are in cars. Trucks are infinitely better.
