Geo-Political Simulator is a super-realistic one-of-a-kind geopolitical simulator, incorporating thousands of values and allowing the player (playing as the head of state of one of 175 possible countries) to access over 1000 different actions and to interact with 3D characters with over 6 hours of dialog. Since its first release in 2008, Geo-Political Simulator has become the gold standard in its field. This third version brings new game modes and a visual redesign.


The game features a new visual interface and a new high-definition map that shows, in 3D, details for the entire plant on arable land, temperate and tropical forests, rivers, and urban areas. New construction projects are possible on the map: high-speed train lines, gas and oil pipelines, civil airports, commercial ports and shipping lines.


Play as more than one head of state, and have them collaborate or oppose each other to change the face of the world: solve the economic crisis, create a greener world, trigger a global conflict and redefine how the world is divided... Control the members of the UN Security Council, the EU or OPEC (to name a few), and decide where intervention is necessary, try to boost growth or impose your own prices.

New Features:

  • Multi-country game mode: the player can lead several countries simultaneously and change the fate of the world by developing collaborative strategies
  • New map (high resolution) with detailed cultural zones, different types of forest (broadleaf, pine, rainforests), savannas, rivers, urban areas, rail networks, oil and gas pipelines, ports and airports (with aircraft route management), oil tankers, containerships, and more.
  • New laws: players can set the income tax by bracket, nationalize/privatize economic activities, set product prices, and adjust the head of state’s salary level. They can also regulate physician-assisted suicide, same-sex parent adoption, abortion, marijuana consumption, prostitution, and the right of foreign nationals to vote in local elections.
  • In-depth debt management, including intervention by rating agencies, interest rate negotiations with international lenders, and the ability to apply for loans or debt relief with the IMF or the Eurozone
  • Players can create their own international organizations and define their types (free trade zone, monetary union, politico-military organization, exporting countries), budget, geographical area, bylaws (voting system, meetings with heads of state, common political ideology...).
  • Televised appearances: from the president’s office to announce new drawbacks, try to justify unpopular decisions or calm the people when they are angry; from the UN press gallery when, for example, requesting a military intervention; while traveling in a region or during import events to occupy the media and strengthen popularity
  • New construction projects available: pipeline networks crossing several countries to transport the gas and oil, high-speed train lines, port centers, and civil airports to improve transportation conditions, tourism, and freight.

In general a good game, but it is problematic that you have so many reoccuring activities like trade and other issues that you spend allot of time on. I would have hoped that unit techs would be more diversified. It is the same as previously, but there is at least a rech tree where you can patent new techs if you are the first. You can spend many hours playing it, but eventually the reoccuring activities can overtime take away some of all the fun. A good advice to the developers is to make a automatic help button, or let the ministers AI take over on some of these activities.
