"While Spore is an amazing product, it's just not quite an amazing game. I can't help but feel that Spore is ambitious and memorable, but I also admit that, save for the cool Space Stage, there's not a lot of depth here. Rookie gamers are going to feel at home here, but veteran gamers may feel like they need more." - IGN.com
"Taken on their own, its pieces are nothing special. As parts of a singular ambitious vision, they work far better. Throw in the best customization tools seen in years and an enthusiastic community brimming with creativity, and you have a legitimately great game that will deliver hours of quality entertainment." - Gamespot.com

- EVOLVE Your Creature through Five Stages — It's survival of the funnest as your choices reverberate through generations and ultimately decide the fate of your civilization.
- EXPLORE Other Players' Galaxies — Will your creature rule the universe, or will your beloved planet be blasted to smithereens by a superior alien race?
- SHARE with the World — Everything you make is shared with other players and vice versa, providing tons of cool creatures to meet and cool places to visit.

... but it gets boring pretty fast. The main problem of the game is that it tried to span several game modes across different stages, but each of these stages ended up too simplified. So the gameplay lacks depth.
From a creative point of view it's a very interesting game, specially if you get Galactic Adventures. Just going on creating your creature is awesome. And altter one you can also design vehicles and building. This is certainly the best part of the game since the editor is very easy to use but powerful at the same time.

So,in this game you must, essentially, create your own game universe. You must create different forms of life and confront them with the creatures created by other players. This is very funny for three or fours hours, but when you do it too many times it can be boring. The graphics are nice (cartoon style),the sound is good and the game is interesting, but buy it when it will be on deal, because replay value is low.

First things first, this is a good game. It looks good graphics wise and shouldn't be too hard to run on highest settings. The game-play mechanics are pretty simple throughout the game, though this opens it up to a younger audience and makes it a decent casual game even for adults. I have played this game personally for about 20 hours and completed what I assume is the main objective however the game can be played endlessly (or until you have populated every planet in the galaxy) which would be an almost impossible feat. My sister however is about 10, she has played it for far longer almost purely using the creature creator, which is great. It has very little re-play value for older people at least so I would probably only recommend getting it full price if it's going to be played by a child.

Fun, with pretty graphics, and many other things. Graphicaly it's pretty simple and it looks good, there sounds fx are very well done. The gameplay is interesting and new, you start as a tiny "bacteria" and meanwhile you evolve reaching space age where you have your own cities, vehicles, planes and etc. Sadly the space age can get quite repetitive as there isn't much to do other than trading and fighitng or socialing, still, it is really long wich is good. Players can also create all kinds of creatures and share them online wich is another cool thing. It is more a kids oriented game so, I don't really think that adults are going to have fun with it.
