Zoo Empire is an ugly 3d-polygonal version of the classic Zoo Tycoon game. While Zoo Tycoon used sprites, Zoo Empire's models are all rendered in blocky and incredibly unattractive 3D. The gameplay is very similar, except Zoo Empire has a much more clunky interface that will cause you to need to look up help online. If you take time to learn the mechanics it can be a decently fun experience, but don't go expecting a masterpiece.

Who would've thought a budget game would actually be above decent? A blatant rip-off of Zoo Tycoon 1, this game is perfect for what it sets out to be. Better graphics then Zoo Tycoon 1, and a somewhat more "fresh" feel. However, there are better zoo sim games like the Zoo Tycoon franchise and even the wildlife park franchise. But if you cannot find the games mentioned above, or just want a cheaper alternative, this game is for you.
Zoo Tycoon ripoff..but not that badNoLove3827 | June 18, 2012 | See all NoLove3827's reviews »
The gameplay is very very frustrating and extremely confusing. But once you read the instructions, which you will be doing frequently, its not THAT bad of a game, obviously its not going to be a high quality zoo simulator like Zoo Tycoon, but it can be fun if you have the time and patience for it. The graphics are actually very good, on the same level or even higher than Zoo Tycoon 2.
