I'll get this out of the way. Ages of Mythology is a classic, and one of the greatest strategy games out there. Fans of Age of Empires and it's various versions will love this game. Age of Mythology combines the best elements of the Empires games, and adds a significant new feature, mythological creatures/abilities and gods. The game also includes the Titans expansion, which is it's own game in several ways.
Each civilization (Greek, Egyptian, Norse and Atlantean) includes a recognizable suite of Gods and creatures, such as Giants, Minotaurs or automaton soldiers.
Now specifically, this is the new "extended" edition, meaning that game has been optimized to run on more modern systems since it's mid 2000's release, and includes a number of listed features and improved visuals.
Since this is a 4-pack edition, this includes 4 different copies of the game. This is actually well worth it, as AOM is a blast to play online or via LAN with friends. I personally spent many hours playing with family members or friends back in the original release, and AOM has a robust amount of options to make an enjoyable multiplayer experience.
This is highly recommended, and well worth your time.
