The DLC adds quite a bit of content, adding new maps, missions, units and lore (aka information about events in the games universe) most of the content is great and fun to play

the asking price is a bit too steep for what i would pay for but its a definite buy when there is a discount on

Great Expansion

Mister_Schmidt | March 13, 2012 | See all Mister_Schmidt's reviews »

If you liked the base game itself, but were constantly marred by thoughts such as "This game really needs more giant floating heads of destruction!", then this expansion will make your dreams come true.

Adding 11 new units (Yes, 11, so yes one side misses out on 1 extra), was a great choice, offering some really special new options to try out.

The new Commanders Challenge mode is also very nice emulating the "General Challenge" from Command & Conquer: Generals, whereby you face a gauntlet of various challenges against all the enemy commanders, tailoring your forces each time so that you may be victorious.

The real gem in this expansion though, comes from one of the mini-campaigns, specifically the Yuriko Omega campaign. Taking a break from the traditional C&C style, this campaign has you control only Yuriko, who acts as a kind of Hero unit. You slowly level her up and increase her powers along the way, and so this campaign also features a slight RPG aspect.

If you like the base game, get this. Even if you didn't, you may find that this improves your enjoyment of the game as a whole.
