Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 from EA brings back the fan-favorite real-time strategy game in its latest incarnation with new features, powers, technologies, and a different world. Now, you can play not just by yourself but also cooperatively with a friend as you take on the enemy in this glorious, over-the-top romp.

Intriguing Plot Twists

In previous games, the war between the Allies and Soviets was coming to a close with the Allies nearing victory. In desperation, the Soviets created a time-travel device that they've used to assassinate Albert Einstein before he is able to develop the weapon technology the Allies later use to defeat the Soviets. Upon returning, they notice a new world, and there is a world war taking place between three groups for control of the world.

Real Time Strategy with sense of humour.

Game is good. Not perfect. It does not include multiplayer. You still could play multiplayer with third party software or via LAN. This game is designed to play with friends. With friends this game gives your enjoyable experience. This game is cheap because lack of multiplayer servers. There is also single-player campaigns which are designed for co-op. You could use Al commander with you, but they are not so clever. Graphics are comics-like and still good looking (much use of colours). Gameplay: Build your base with defences-->Annihilate your enemy's bases with co-commander. There is much variety with every faction's troops (allies, japanese and soviets). This could be only ww2 game where are no germans. You find proper reason for lack when you start playing;) Red Aler 3 is rush based science-fiction-cold war rts-simulator with strong sense of humour. You will laugh much when you play campaign. I like this game much. To get best must also force your friends to buy this also.

Last good Command and Conquer game?

Furrek | Aug. 1, 2014 | See all Furrek's reviews »

I know it's not same Red Alert or Command and Conquer game, but that's probably last title in the series that I enjoyed. Well, not as the previous games, but this one is not bad. Like in any C&C, in Red Alert 3 there are also short movies with real actors, but it may be just be, that some of them were just... bad. I wasn't so excited watching them. As for campaign, you are able to play as Allies, Soviets and Rising Sun. The most fun of all were probably Rising Sun, but sadly all of campaigns were mildly interesting. The only good thing from this game were probably skirmishes with other players, or playing the whole game in coop, which I did. Since online isn't available, get this game only if you want to play alone. Also I don't think so that EA will think about running this game online anymore.
