I'm not able to enjoy it

I have this collection just because it was an offer, and it could be as good as it gets... A really nice, challenging strategy game. But for some reason, I don't like it. I've played strategy games for quite a while. It's probably my favorite genre! But with Europa Universalis i feel like I'm playing a board game in a non-board kinda gameplay. It feels really weird to me, and far from intuitive. I'd recommend playing the demo before buying! Just to see if it is what you're looking for...

Best Keeps getting better.

If you love EU3, this is the version to get since it's for steam plus includes many of the DLC. Divine Wind and Heir to the Throne really complete the game (plus fix many bugs and niggling issues). Also, the many sprite packs and general graphical DLCs help round out the game and add more realism.

Don't go into this game expecting an easy time. It's very detailed and realistic. Paradox has made the game less deterministic compared to EU2, while still keeping the general feel of the game historically accurate (as in your country can do something, not that it specifically did something in actual history). If you play the tutorial and spend time with this game, you'll find a surprisingly rich game wrapped in a pretty interface.

EU3 - requires effort, but worth it.

With the release of EU4, EU3's interface and user accessibility is certainly showing its age. The graphics are functional, but not particularly pretty by today's standards. Similarly, the interface harks back to before Paradox decided to make their games easy to get into. This is a difficult game to really learn and understand – however, it is still very, very good if you have the patience for it. Your first few games will end in frustration, and ignominy. However, if you persevere, you will have a lot of fun shaping the history of your chosen country. You can choose from dozens of countries across the globe, each with rather different challenges and restrictions. The game also has mechanics in place to make it rather difficult to expand 'unrealistically', so there is a nice feeling of recreating history as it could have happened. EU4 is a much more polished game, but I still play this when on an older computer. It's certainly not suitable for a quick gaming fix, but if you put a lot of effort in, it is very rewarding.

Firstly, it must be clarified that Europa Universalis III is one of those deep strategy titles. In this game, you get the chance to well, rewrite history. I got this game when it was out sometime back..and it did not disappoint me. Pity I did not get this bundle back then... would have saved me so much $. In sum, if you love strategy games, one that needs deep thought and imagination, this game is suitable for you. Thumbs UP , seriously.
