Description
This scenario covers the longest and bloodiest war in Europe during the 19th century, which saw the end of Napoleon III’s Imperial France and the advent of the Second Reich under the aegis of Otto von Bismarck. Prussia and her allies must crush the armies of France, invade the country and capture Paris before the end of 1871, using numbers and excellent leadership. France has quality of troops but abysmal command, and can later rely on Republican spirit to may be turn the tide…nothing is decided from start, it’s all yours to re-live!
- Crush or save Imperial France in the most destructive war of European 19th century
- Rush to Paris with the mighty Prussian armies to establish the 2nd Reich
- Use the massive and deadly Krupp guns to oppose swarms of French infantry equipped with powerful Chassepot rifles. Bloody the enemy before the Furia Francese wins the day.

Things like the Franco-Prussian war can be covered in about a few turns. No biggie. For some people, it's fine. For others, they want more. Pride of Nations: Franco-Prussian War does just that. It simulates the war in it's entirety. Real time events are pretty sweet! And it teaches players as well. But it's not entirely accurate, since YOU get the choice. YOU get to decide how it all ends. Just like the base game. As you would expect, there are very little bugs and glitches in the game. Just like the first. Graphics are not the finest out there but for some looking for realism: this is for you. If your interested in this specific war and time period, then it'll be more than just a great buy.
