Although civilization blossomed later in the western hemisphere, the region from Peru in the south to Mexico in the north was just as important as an incubator for the development of ancient cultures.
This map spans this rugged area of jungles and highlands.
The Cradle of Civilization map packs are Firaxis-designed maps of real-world locations. You can play random leaders in these settings, or choose leaders appropriate to the history of these areas. The maps can also be opened up in World Builder, where you can even create specific scenarios.

This map is fun since it allows play on my home continent. The idea of being able to take over your continent and rule it is a bit cynical, but fun >:) The pack only includes the one map and so you don't get very much for the current price of $3, but it is worth it if you really want new areas to play in. This map works very well if you want to make YouTube videos with this game. The pack does however do exactly as it states, it gives you one map that has been detailed very similarly to the actual continents and nothing else, so if you do buy this you know exactly what you are getting.
I got a good moneys worth out of this due to my YouTube videos and I enjoyed acting out historic wars on this map so I give it a 70. It would be a great buy if it were more like $1 for the map, but it is still good if you will get good use out of it.

Adding only one bit of content (despite being a large bit of content), Cradle of Civilization- Americas adds one map to the game. Although this is a nice change to the standard routine maps that come with the game, the DLC is not worth the £2 I spent on it, as I can add maps with mods anyway, and although well designed, the map isn't brilliant. Worth getting if you're looking to collect all the DLC though!
