Key Features:

Extensive single-player content: - A vast array of single-player content spanning the very best of the 3D “Worms™” games, ranging from shooting challenges to speed runs, whilst a collection of crazy missions, interspersed with newly fully voiced narrative FMV sequences, make up the single-player campaign. Additionally, a huge number of challenges ask the player to master the individual skills of the game (such as piloting a Jetpack or steering a Parachute) in order to complete tasks such as target shooting or collecting targets, all against the clock.

Because of the turn-based nature of the game, it can be played multi-player offline on one screen. - Fight on the randomly generated landscapes, even save and share them, which allows for a huge amount of multi-player map options!

Get competitive: - Play standard or ranked games in a bid to scale the Steam Leaderboards!

Massive customization options: - Players are able to name their teams, choose which hats they want their worms to wear, whether they wear glasses, have moustaches, what they say, which flag represents them, and even what gravestone they leave behind when they die.

Worms™ weapons and utilities: - Many of the classic Worms™ weapons are present and correct, with the Holy Hand Grenade, Bazooka, Dynamite, Banana Bomb, Baseball Bat, Super Sheep and many more in your arsenal of destruction. - There is also a sprinkling of even more crazy and surreal weapons too, such as Alien Abduction, Fatkins Strike, Flood, Inflatable Scouser, Old Woman, Starburst and Bovine Blitz with which to wage war on your enemies.

Custom built weaponry: - Players are also able to construct their own weapons from a wide selection of components. These weapons are added to the players’ arsenals and remain secret until deployed, giving opponents a nasty shock.

Talk trash: - In-game voice-chat so you can cheer on team mates or indeed win the battle against opponents verbally!

Fully destructible environments: - Deform everything in real-time.

New picture-in-picture display: - This tracks every action a player makes when attacking, whilst at the same time allowing the player to retreat and not miss a single moment of the glorious action.

Numerous gameplay improvements and enhancements: - New camera enhancements make it easier to follow the action; optimized AI means more intelligent enemies, and the addition of speech and lip-synching to the single-player missions makes for even more cinematic fun! - New visual improvements, with dynamic real time lighting and post process effects and shaders, make the mayhem look even more impressive.

The Worms franchise is of course more famous with it's 2D graphics and gameplay. Worms Ultimate Mayhem comes with a whole new twist to it, and in my opinion quite a good one. The now 3D worms are placed in a 3D world that's completely demolishable. Even if you're just a fan of the 2D series, this is one you really have to check out!

3D and Worms....I'm not convinced

First off, the good : It's Worms! who doesn't like Worms! It's mayhem, shooting, exploding sheep, funny noises, everything we came to discover & love about the franchise. However, and now comes the bad part, the Worms game aren't known for 3D Graphics. I'm still struggling with it as we speak. And if it doesn't look right, it'll influence your "like" of the game. Try a demo before purchasing is the best advice i can give you.

Worms in 3D, very different from 2D

The main problem with Worms being in 3D is it makes it incredibly less competitive. There's no "Hiding underground" by digging with a blowtorch and other silly things. However one thing it does right is being more fun and more silly, more ridiculous stuff can happen here. If you're a fan of the series for fun and silliness, I would recommend giving it a shot. Wouldn't recommend for your first Worms title.

A good 3D Worms game!

First off, I loved Armageddon, and hated the 3D Worms. And Ultimate Mayhem fixes everything about the 3D ones that I did not like. If you have not played Worms before, the basics are that you control a bunch of worms with all kinds of absurd weaponry, ranging from Bazookas to Super Sheep to Holy Grenades. The goal is to kill all of your enemy team's worms. Even though quick game and multiplayer are my favourite modes, the campaign is still there. It is directly ripped from Worms 4 and Worms 3D, just with better graphics. Therefore if you already own Worms 4 or 3D, there is not that much need to buy Ultimate Mayhem. But if you are new to the 3D Worms games, or Worms overall, you should definitely buy this. It is not better than Armageddon(or any of the 2D Worms) but it is still an awesome game!

Not bad... but stick to the 2D ones...

Granted this game is not bad by any stretch of the imagination, infact it gets really good once you really get into the customisation and the controls, but that's just why it doesn't do it for me, When I was younger I could just pick up any 2d worms game and play away for hours... But in 3d with crazy good looking graphics it just doesn't do it for me...

Personally if you're thinking of buying a worms title in my opinion, you should go with the nostalgia feel of worms reloaded, that game is amazing!
