E3 is coming, like a dragon diving down from up on high, like the nuclear bombs falling, like an assassin in the night.
It’s coming and it’s coming soon.
Bethesda are having a conference and we’re excited to see what they’ve got for us. Here’s our ideas about what we’d like to see from the big B. Maybe not 100% realistic, but we’d like to see them anyway.
The Elder Scrolls VI
It’s about damn time. It’s been years since Skyrim came out and we’ve had a remastered version since then, but where’s The Elder Scrolls VI? Take me to Akavir, or Stros M’kai, or the Summerset Isles. Let me see how Daggerfall’s been doing since I dealt with King Lysandus’ shade, show me post-apocalyptic Vvardenfell, take me back to Cyrodiil now that the Aldmeri Dominion’s in residence. Take me to Elsweyr! All these places Bethesda, take me there, take me there in The Elder Scrolls VI. Please.
Just don’t take me back to Mehrunes Dagon’s planes of Oblivion again please, too much lava is bad for me.
Fallout 5
Speaking of games that could use a sequel. Fallout 5 is waiting Bethesda, waiting and lurking in the sidelines for you to give us another game. I’d love to see an announcement for this, maybe something that could get away from the East coast of the US? I’d like to see us go back to the West coast, see what’s up since the New Vegas situation was resolved and the battle of Hoover Dam occurred. Unlike most wishlists online. I don’t really want to see it go aboard, as that 1950s scifi/Americana style is integral to the series.
Maybe we could even check in with the *other* Brotherhood of Steel breakaway faction, see what they’ve been up to since they dealt with The Calculator.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Another Expansion
Morrowind is just out, or nearly out if you haven’t pre-purchased it yet. But that’s just the start of the journey, there’s still loads of Tamriel untouched for future expansions, and I’d love to see what the ESO team have up their sleeves for the next expansion after Morrowind. Maybe planes of Oblivion? Maybe deep underground searching out where the Dwemer went to.
Basically, give me more ESO.
The Elder Scrolls Legends: Expansion
How about a card game expansion? Hearthstone’s bashing them out, so it’d be great to see Legends get one out the door too. The game’ll have been out for three months by the time E3 happens, so why not fire up the card department and get the Legends players some more stuff. New cards are always needed to keep a card game alive, so here’s hoping E3 has lots of cards to show off.
Arkane Doing Anything At All
I don’t really care what it is they announce, but just tell me what Arkane are doing, and then show me it. That’s all I need Bethesda, are you listening? Show. Me. What. Arkane. Is. Doing. Next.
Thanks.
A New Wolfenstein
MachineGames made 2014’s Wolfenstein return a huge surprise, in that it was actually good. So I’d love to see another Wolfenstein, and hopefully MachineGames’ll be at the helm again if we do get another Wolfenstein. Frankly I’m happy to see it go anywhere, because MachineGames have proved themselves to be safe hands with the Wolfenstein name.
Doom II
No not that Doom II, a new Doom II to follow on from the absolutely immense Doom. No not that Doom, the new Doom.
Maybe give it a new name though, this is confusing.
Morrowind Remastered
I can dream can’t I?
Change absolutely nothing, I don’t want infinite view distance, I don’t want HD textures, I just want the same game but with settings that lets me choose modern resolutions out of the box, so I don’t have to install graphics extender mods.
Oh and maybe include the unofficial Morrowind patches, just so it works good as well as working a bit better.
Tango Gameworks Doing A New Horror Game
If The Evil Within was a love letter to Resident Evil, then I’d love to see what Tango Gameworks do next with horror. Maybe a Silent Hill homage?
I shouldn’t say that, I just made myself a bit too excited.
Rogue Warrior: The Soundtrack
Put the Rogue Warrior soundtrack on release and I guarantee it’ll be a platinum best seller all over the globe. I mean listen to the end tune with MC Mickey Rourke:
Mmmm that’s smooth.
