Everyone has heard of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day but did you know that there’s a special day to celebrate both? Yeap, there is and it’s called (drumroll) Parents’ Day.
And since Parents’ Day is today, we’re celebrating by sharing some of the best PC games that are perfect for playing with your parents (who else)!
Farming Simulator is really what it says on the tin – you take the role of a modern farmer in a simulator game. Its a good family game because you get to work together to manage your own farm by harvesting, woodcutting, selling fresh produce and exploiting your lands to invest in new and more powerful tools and vehicles. With multiplayer, you can invite your family to help you develop your farm.

If you and the family like LEGO and Star Wars then, this is a great game for you to play together. Part of the No.1 LEGO videogame franchise, it’s an adventure game that lets you play through the LEGO lens retelling the events of the film and more. LEGO games have always been easy to get to grips with with simple controls and simple attacks – all straightforward for younger players. It is also ideal for younger players to play with their parents so that they can get help to solve puzzles, push and move blocks around, smash up LEGO, and hunt down collectibles.

Overcooked is a great game to play as a family team. The local co-op for up to four players tasks you and your fellow chefs to prepare, cook and serve up orders to customers in challenging environments. Communication and coordination amongst the team is important as you’re constantly challenged in the game from cooking together on a pirate ship that tilts and moves your tables back and forth to cooking whilst moving between trucks. Overcooked’s controls are easy enough to pick up quickly and allows you to learn little tricks through play. It’s often described as wonderfully chaotic but, this can be overcome with skill.

What is Parents’ Day?
In 1994 President Bill Clinton signed into law a resolution adopted by the US Congress to establish the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents’ Day. It’s all about family and is meant to show your appreciation for your parents.
