What’s Inside? Something Good. Introducing Care Package.

There’s something fun about a game you didn’t see coming. Maybe it’s a new favourite. Maybe it’s the one you never knew you wanted to try. That’s the idea behind Care Package, our new monthly mystery-game bundle that pairs the fun of discovering something new with the chance to support meaningful work.

For October, your first Care Package includes three mystery games for $5. You’ll find a mix of AAA, indie and catalogue titles inside, but you won’t know exactly what you’ve got until you open it. And here’s the part that isn’t a mystery: 100% of proceeds support the featured charity’s work. GMG and participating publishers take no share.

Celebrating One Year of Charity Bundles

October also marks one year since we launched our charity bundles. To every player who picked one up, every publisher who joined us and every charity partner who trusted us to help support their work: thank you. Those bundles aren’t going anywhere. They’ll continue to support charitable causes with a percentage of proceeds from each bundle.

Care Package is something new alongside them: a dedicated monthly offering where 100% of proceeds support the featured charity’s work. A new package. A new cause. Every month.

Starting with SpecialEffect

We couldn’t think of a better partner for our first Care Package than SpecialEffect, one of our longest-standing charity partners.

SpecialEffect helps people with physical disabilities experience the joy of gaming through personalised assessments, adapted controllers and assistive technology. Their work is about more than access to a game. It can help create opportunities for independence, connection and shared experiences with family and friends.

SpecialEffect also shares its accessibility expertise and resources with the wider games industry, helping developers and hardware makers think about how more people can be included in play.

It’s a mission that sits at the heart of our Play for All commitment: everyone deserves the chance to play.

Open October’s Care Package

Three mystery games. $5. 100% of proceeds support SpecialEffect’s work. You won’t know what games are inside until you open it. But you’ll know exactly what your purchase is helping support.
