The number of cars is great, map is huge, graphics and physics are fine, but is it enough to make a good game? Unfortunately not. It's great experience while actually driving a car. You can choose you favourite car, play campaign or just cruise and explore the world. I really enjoyed testing new cars and visiting new places. But everything else is just to bad, that it ruins the whole fun. User interface is one of the worst ever. Setting are hard to find, it work's bad with controller, it looks bad and seems like someone forgot about it and then make the whole UI in 2 hours. Then comes the gameplay. This game is about a competition between some famous drivers and it's written so poorly it would be better without the story at all. A lot of cutscenes about nothing, a lot of useless, boring activities. And that's even not the worst part. The worst is performance on new operating systems. It crasher, drops FPS, even launching the game isn't simple and you need to configure it before. This is a game with great potential, but none of it has been used.
TDU2 is a continuation of the first, known and loved game of the same name. Is a worthy successor? Not really. Better graphics, more cars, even the ability to equip your home with a variety of things, etc. The only question: why? The driving model went overhaul but sadly it's much worse than the first part offered. If you got used to it by any chance be warned that online is not working anymore as the servers were probably turned off as the game has been on the market for few years. So single only.
le falta un poco para ser como el anterior juego pero tiene las bases para quedarte pegado durante horas y horas en su impresionate mundo, dando vueltas en las impresionates vistas que tiene el juego tanto los vehiculos como el mundo en si.
This is an MMO pretty much but that means it comes with the issues that come with MMOs especially when they dont have a lot of money. the voice acting is really horrid, the controllers confuse me and it takes a long time to rebind the controls. The optimization from this game is weird, it will bring a gtx 680 to its knees for pretty much no reason. the handling for the game is odd, im not sure what it was aiming to be but the cars dont feel too satisfying but it could be worse, just stay away from the muscle cars. the GUI is horrid, complete tosh to work with. once again a game sounds like it could be epic sadly falls too short.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 tries to create a genre. It’s a car simulation game but massively multiplayer and online. Basically it’s a MMO with cars. No quest, no trolls, no big boss to kill and dungeons to raid here. It’s all about driving and racing against other players. No big surprise here. On the paper, Test Drive Unlimited 2 seems very cool. However, the reality is not that impressive. The graphics are not great. The game has a decent look but there is nothing really worth noting here. The gameplay is not better. Actually, it’s not a simulation. It’s straightforward and a bit arcade in terms of controls. And the User Interface is awful at best. At least there is a ton of content. Let’s just hope there will be a sequel to fix everything and make Test Drive Unlimited the excellent franchise it deserves to be.
