I really love this game, I ended it thrice and I still want to play it again. The graphics are unique, the controls are just point and click, the story is a while fun a while sad but it ends *spoiler removed*. I am really looking forward to play The Inner World: Last Wind Monk. I need to buy that game as soon it comes out. Yeah, that is how good the game is. 110/100!!! <3
Point and Click. Solve puzzles. Yada yada. Not a lot to say about the gameplay mechanics, it does what it should. Graphics are nicely drawn, a bit weird, some good talent there. Its the rest that's just, meh. The story revolves around Robert. He's different, his nose doesn't have stripes. Robert is also a complete moron, and trapped in an abusive master/servant role. He leaves on an adventure because a pigeon steals something and he must find it. From there it just gets annoying. The dialogue is screamingly bad. Like watching a politician doing stand up comedy and falling flat on their face. Its just not funny. If you like the p&c style of games, stick with Telltale or play some classics instead.
Inner World has a bland name, dull environments, one-dimensional characters, poor attempts at humor, and a nonsensical story comprised of random events thrown together. It's nice that more companies have tried to make point-and-click adventure games, but you need the "adventure part".
Let me start off by saying that the game has good and very detailed backgrounds, but it cannot be said about characters - they don't seem to fit in the world, and their stories are not great but it isn't twilight level of writing, so it didn't bother me at all (However getting attached to them is almost impossible). That is no major issue however, but the major issue is, that in a point and click game - the story is obvious from chapter 1. The dialogue claims to be funny, and it sometimes is, but sometimes it is more annoying I find - this could be that the game was translate from German to English, and the voice actors were underpaid and held in a dungeon for weeks, as they don't show any emotion and read the lines out loud even when the game tries to be emotional. The puzzles are nothing great to write about. They are mostly illogical or easy to solve, requiring you to go through your items until thing make work. There are a couple of bugs but I say that its mostly minor ones, I haven't encountered anything major, neither has my friend who helped me with this. It is an average game, that is finished in under 6 hours, and I cannot recommend it but it might be a decent game to play while your internet is out (I still recommend keeping a red alert 2 dvd in your room if that happens), as it requires no internet connection and that is a good thing in this year. Overall, its worth the money, however not the time, but can be played if there is a major sale or shortage of decently priced games.
This is a very well written, made and executed game. Let me break it down; The graphics, are beautiful. They are so nice to see, you just want to keep going to see more of that masterfully created scenes. The art style is awesome. The gameplay is point and click, and it is good at what it does. The story is awesome, and very much interesting and fun. Very nice. The best part, it's funny! The dialogues, talk, it is all very witty and humorous and very well written. I give it 97 out of 100, must play if you like good story and/or are a fan of Point & Click.
