I notice that there are a lot of negative reviews citing buggy gameplay and poor controls, but actually if you take your time there is a fun game wrapped within. I personally enjoyed taking the time to plan each level. Managed to save loads of ammo whilst destroying hordes of the dead. I would give it a 7/10 for cheesy 80s style zombie slaying fun !
This game is close to being a good game. I really like the concept of killing zombies with a more tactical approach. The graphics, while not great, are perfectly fine for this game. Lots of different locations help keep this game from getting too repetitive. There are a lot of things to like about this game. Unfortunately the game-play itself just seems to miss. This game is just too slow, and bogged down. As much as I really wanted to like this game, I just couldn't get into it. It takes too long to do anything. I hope they keep trying to work with this format, and perhaps release a similar game that finds a way to speed things up a bit, but for now I just can't recommend this game (unless you like the slow, meticulous approach this game abounds in). If you can get this game on sale, it is worth giving it a try. You just might like the gameplay more than I did
A very underated game nobody talks about. Yeah, it took a lot of time to fix all the bugs the game had -including one in the last level that could make you start from the beginning-, but nowadays the game is complete and perfectly playable. Trapped Dead is a great game for those who don't want a deep strategy game. It is kind of like a survival horror game with some strategy elements. You give orders to four characters with different and unique stats and skills to survive in an apocalyptic zombie based world, and you need to use this world at your advantage to get rid of the waves of zombies trying to eat you. You can set up traps, avoid them or whatever to survive rather than just going berserk against them. As an action game, the game doesn't work properly. Keep in mind that you need to give orders to four characters, and that's a lot of stuff to do. To make it the right way, you should use the pause key to give orders to your squad, but that makes the game slower. Gameplay is erratic and action is kind of lame, but the game grows on you as long as you keep playing it. I liked it a lot, but not sure if I would recommend it to anyone.
