QA Analyst

  • Contract: Permanent

Role responsibilities:
  • Working with the product team leads, technical leads and product managers to understand new functionality being developed.
  • Planning and executing testing of new features and products, ensuring that all explicit and implicit requirements are met.
  • Identifying and logging defects and issues found during testing, with detailed explanations and ensuring escalation to appropriate business owners.
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions, contributing ideas and asking questions to ensure that all aspects of functionality being planned are adequately thought about.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of the application development lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in common business and office software (word processor, spreadsheets and email).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
Experience:
  • Solid background in QA, primarily testing web and mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience of working in a mixed environment of manual and automated testing.
  • Basic GIT experience is a plus.
  • Experience and familiarity with automated testing is a plus.

Assistant Buyer

Role responsibilities:
  • Preparation of site merchandising documents and creating merchandising opportunities for campaign activity
  • Interdepartmental collaboration, and driving synergies between departments, systems and trading team
  • Promotional Campaign admin duties (Pricing, voucher and campaign set up)
  • Delivery of ad hoc sales reports to publishers
  • Support new release Assistant Buyer and team, when required
  • Admin support for trading team when required
  • Maintenance of digital stock levels
  • Placing digital key orders with publishers
Skills:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to a high standard
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work within strict timelines

Software Engineer -C#, .NET

Role overview

Software Engineers are key to building and maintaining the Green Man Gaming experience as well as delivering the scalability required by an aggressively growing business. We need more Software Engineers to help us manage the delivery of the team against these exciting platform requirements. 
This is a key and exciting role within the global Engineering team, responsible for the delivery of technology projects against key milestones. 
Key tasks: 


  • Maintain and further develop our ASP.NET, MVC, C# shop

  • Assist other areas of the business with specifying what they need from 
 Engineering to satisfy their requirements.
  • Follow an Agile development process to get things done in a timely fashion Thoroughly QA code before it is put live.
  • Documentation of systems being developed and deployed
  • Maintaining security of the code through more specific tests 

  • Perform and assist in Peer Code Reviews 

  • Assist Systems Engineering with deployments 

  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and how they might fit into the GreenMan 


Specific Engineering Requirements:
  • Solid C# experience
  • Solid MVC experience
  • Experience HTML, Javascript, CSS is a benefit
  • Experience with Unit Tests, Test Driven Development, MVC, IOC / DI
  • Experience with Episerver is a benefit
  • Experience of working with Ecommerce solutions is a benefit
  • Good working knowledge of Visual Studio 2015, GIT

Role overview

Software Engineers are key to building and maintaining the Green Man Gaming and Playfire experiences as well as delivering the scalability required by an aggressively growing business. We need more Software Engineers to help us manage the delivery of the team against these exciting platform requirements. This is a key and exciting role within the global Engineering team, responsible for the delivery of technology projects against key milestones. You’ll be working on maintaining the existing and developing new high-performance, high-availability backend (micro) services for handling transactions and other actions of our users and managing the flow of data between On-Line Transaction Processing layer and On-Line Analytical Processing Layer. You will also work on implementing various data mining and analysis algorithms prepared by Business Intelligence. 


Job Description:
  • Object-oriented and/or functional programming skills in at least one of: Python, Scala, Java or Go.
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Integrating applications with Amazon Web Service (AWS).
  • Documentation of systems being developed and deployed
  • Maintaining security of the code through more specific tests 

  • Some understanding of application design-patterns, web services, etc.

  • Flexibility, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial

  • Database knowledge ideally relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) as well as NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)

Nice to Have and/or Willing to Gain
  • Experience with JavaScript.
  • Exposure to a MVC framework for web development
  • Experience with multithreading and asynchronous processing ○ Understanding of data-intensive computing and distributed system design
  • Experience with provisioning infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform
  • Any data analytics experience including but limited to Hadoop, R, MapReduce, BigQuery is highly regarded
  • Understanding of DevOps technology landscape such as Docker, Vagrant, Micro-services.
  • A passion for data science, data engineering and machine learning.
