Home Sweet Home is yet another Amnesia inspired first person horror game, being mostly all about searching for stuff with no spins to the genre at all. While graphics are really nice, game didn't get as much attention to optimisation as it should and it has some serious technical problems with the frame rate dropping like crazy and longer than it should load times. Sound can be tiresome. Personally, I hate the design choice of "loud is scary" - hearing is important sense and it doesn't have to be attacked like that. Some might call it jump-scare, but to me it's a waste of players time, because there is nothing scary about it. Speaking of sound, the voice acting is really bad, like Z-movie bootleg dub bad. As for the plot, it is actually not that bad for this kind of game, but it is pretty safe territory with "you wake up in unknown location after your wife goes missing". Environments are not as boring as in, say, Amnesia Machine for Pigs, where 2/3rds of the game was complete sewer/dark factory boredom action, but it takes maybe little too much inspiration from Condemned 1&2 and FEAR - at times it might even feel like a rip-off. Overall, the game itself is not bad, if you're hungry for more Amnesia clones, go for it, you will enjoy it a lot. Anyone else, just wait for bigger sale or completely ignore it. 6/10.
