Content Administrator

Role overview

The Content Administrator is tasked with managing the web content for product and visual merchandising to support the Commercial team. This role is the central point of contact for website merchandising and promotion implementation for the GMG website, and to maintain stock levels of all titles.


Role responsibilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in conjunction with the Operations, Trading and Marketing teams to support and publish visual merchandising, products and other content for the business.
  • Using the information and assets provided by Trading and Design to efficiently deliver new store SKUs/products, in-time for launch dates or pre-sale activity.
  • Supporting the Trading, Marketing and Operations department with page content, SEO and site search information and other promotional activity.
  • To build unique landing pages in the CMS to support specific promotions.
  • To identify new processes which will enhance/improve the level of ‘service’.
  • To manage and update product pages according to assets and details provided by the publisher.
  • To facilitate the release of products, including additional merchandising required and the distribution of keys to customers, where applicable.
Skills:
  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Self-motivated, willing to learn and develop in the role.

Experience:

Head of Performance Marketing

Role overview

This is a key and exciting role within the Marketing Department, responsible for driving GMG acquisition campaigns through paid search, SEO, display, affiliate marketing and social media. The successful candidate should be a paid media expert and come from an online retail background


Role responsibilities:
  • Manage a team o3 channel specialists driving marketing campaigns across SEO, PPC, affiliate, display and paid social activity.
  • Plan and co-ordinate integrated marketing campaigns to maximise the efficient acquisition of traffic (CPC, cost-per-visit), revenue and new customers.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of acquisition campaigns including, for instance, lead times for creative development and media placements.
  • Supporting senior management in ensuring that campaign plans are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Measure and reporting on post-campaign metrics, communicating learnings and achievements to key stakeholders and the marketing team in general.
  • Research new media and brand partnership opportunities.
  • Lead a programme of test and learn activity, providing regular project updates and reports to line management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing finances ensuring that costs are kept within budget limits.
  • Create presentations and other documentation on campaign plans and performance for the EVP Performance Marketing as require.
  • Manage and implement marketing tags via GMG tag-management-system.
  • Manage and optimise product feeds.
  • Contribute to an effective team working approach.
Skills:
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of digital marketing and a hunger to build even more experience in this field.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills and ability to interrogate data and present insights in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Deep technical understanding of web analytics and digital tracking methodologies.

Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing and optimising paid and owned media channels i.e. PPC, display, affiliates/price-comparison sites, social media and email.
  • Experience working in at least one fast-paced online retail environment.
  • A proven track record in delivering essential retail-related KPIs such as traffic, new customer acquisition, revenue and margin.
  • A demonstrable focus on ROI, CPAs and/or COS (cost of sale) when managing paid media campaigns.
  • Experience managing external vendors/agencies.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience using web analytics tools to deliver business reporting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of tag management solutions such as Telium or GTM.
Nice to have:
  • As a computer games company, a passion for games and a knowledge of the games industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, conversion optimisation, UX and design are desirable.
  • Knowledge of, or experience working in, other areas of eCommerce e.g. User Experience, Operations, BI..
  • Experience working with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or similar is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience designing high-converting UX with proven track record of success.
  • EKnowledge of CMS, HTML / CSS, JavaScript, PHP or ASP.NET is an advantage.
  • EGraduate or relevant qualifications in statistics, mathematics.

Software Engineer -C#, .NET

Software Engineers are key to building and maintaining the Green Man Gaming experience as well as delivering the scalability required by an aggressively growing business. We need more Software Engineers to help us manage the delivery of the team against these exciting platform requirements. 
This is a key and exciting role within the global Engineering team, responsible for the delivery of technology projects against key milestones. 
Key tasks: 


  • Maintain and further develop our ASP.NET, MVC, C# shop

  • Assist other areas of the business with specifying what they need from 
 Engineering to satisfy their requirements.
  • Follow an Agile development process to get things done in a timely fashion Thoroughly QA code before it is put live.
  • Documentation of systems being developed and deployed
  • Maintaining security of the code through more specific tests 

  • Perform and assist in Peer Code Reviews 

  • Assist Systems Engineering with deployments 

  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and how they might fit into the GreenMan 


Specific Engineering Requirements:
  • Solid C# experience
  • Solid MVC experience

Role overview

Software Engineers are key to building and maintaining the Green Man Gaming and Playfire experiences as well as delivering the scalability required by an aggressively growing business. We need more Software Engineers to help us manage the delivery of the team against these exciting platform requirements. This is a key and exciting role within the global Engineering team, responsible for the delivery of technology projects against key milestones. You’ll be working on maintaining the existing and developing new high-performance, high-availability backend (micro) services for handling transactions and other actions of our users and managing the flow of data between On-Line Transaction Processing layer and On-Line Analytical Processing Layer. You will also work on implementing various data mining and analysis algorithms prepared by Business Intelligence. 


Job Description:
  • Object-oriented and/or functional programming skills in at least one of: Python, Scala, Java or Go.
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Integrating applications with Amazon Web Service (AWS).
  • Documentation of systems being developed and deployed
  • Maintaining security of the code through more specific tests 

  • Some understanding of application design-patterns, web services, etc.

  • Flexibility, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial

  • Database knowledge ideally relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) as well as NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)

Nice to Have and/or Willing to Gain
  • Experience with JavaScript.
