The Reaper Expansion Pack adds a lot of new cards, four new characters, and the Grim Reaper. When the Grim Reaper lands on a character you have to roll a die, the result could kill you, damage you, kill a follower, cause you to lose your next turn, do nothing, strengthen or teleport you, or you may be able to send it off to another player. The new characters added are the Dark Cultist, Knight, Merchant, and Sage. The Dark Cultist has average stats but low fate, is always evil, can choose to attack with psychic combat, and rolls a dice when she kills an enemy or causes a player to lose a life that can increase stats or give other benefits. The Knight has high strength, a good craft rating, and low fate, he starts with a sword and armor, is always good, can not attack other good characters, and gains a two on the die roll while praying. The Merchant has low strength but his other stats are high, he starts with five gold, can choose to trade items when he lands on other players, can spend gold to avoid monsters, and can sell or trade items in towns. The Sage has a high craft skill, can always look at the top card of the encounter and spell deck, starts with a spell and always can gain one if he doesn't have any, and can ignore his first roll and roll again when moving. This is a good expansion for the game, though the Grim Reaper may not be something that everyone enjoys having in the game. The characters and varied cards do make for good additions.
