A must-buy for any FPS fan

At the time it came out, The Orange Box was perhaps one of the most significant collection of games, both quality and quantity wise. Eight years later, that hasn't changed much. While Team Fortress 2 is currently free to play (it has been so for a while), this package offers the premium perks that you can only obtain with the pay to play version, not to mention it adds one more reason for you to get into this awesome game, one of the best multiplayer FPSs ever. The main part of the package is the continuation of the first Half-Life's story, a "trilogy" with a much more complex plot, solid gameplay and engaging action, fleshed-out characters, an excellent physics engine and visual that hold up well even by today's standards. Finally, we have Portal, a true underdog game in the sense that it performed better than anyone could have expected, spanning an even more successful sequel (in my opinion, one of the best games ever made) and a cult following. If you consider yourself a gamer and have even a fleeting interest in FPS games, then do yourself a service and buy this awesome collection.

Valve Must buy pack

It contains 3 Games from the Half-Life series, the most successful fps from valve playing as gordon freeman after the end from the first game + Portal: the first puzzle game from valve, where you meet the AI GLaDOS and play through different test chambers every level and the most played free to play game on steam: Team Fortress 2(even if tf2 was paid when this pack was released), it is still worth if you don't have played any valve games and you want to meet this new universe of masterpieces, a must buy.

The best old school shooter with expansions and even more!

Half-Life 2 is best first person shooter I've played. Game is old. Still stunning visuals, vivid atmosphere and creative gameplay experience. This game handles physics accurately first time in pc-gaming history (my opinion). Must play for everyone who haven't played this. Also for them who played this earlier. You understand plot better with second playthrough. Portal is physics-based science-thriller. I liked it much. This package have some of best pieces of last century pc-gaming. Valve knows how to make nearly perfect games.

One of the best compilations in the history of PC gaming

Maybe in this day and age Half Life 2 seems dated and old: I have even heard some kids say they should remake it with modern graphics! When this Orange Box came out though it was cutting edge, story-driven FPS quality. It has subtitles throughout, even for sound effects which is great for the hard of hearing and still to this day is a massive rarity in games. Portal is the best ever 3d puzzle game with plot and fantastic humour and lovely touches that has entered the consciousness of gaming: it is a platinum classic, a legend. I'm not exaggerating. TF2 is now free, yes, but I think this purchase makes your account a "paid" one in the same way as buying an item does. When it first came out this game was even more fun than it is now because the community was better. It's still great though, but the loot has kind of taken over everything, just as happened with counter strike. TLDR, you probably already have these games in your collection but if you don't, please pay the small amount of money to rectify that situation and learn where we came from.

A really cheap treasure box

All of these games are a must have for any PC gamer. Portal stands out as one of the most emblematic puzzle games of this generation. Half Life 2 continues an amazing game and story, with a fresh and new experience. And even though TF2 is free already, it pays off by the amount of content it has. $20 for these games is a great deal!
