Its very clear this game was made in the 90s - the controls are janky, the UI is scattered and confusing, and the art style is eclectic. The poor quality of controls and UI makes the game hard even in places where it should be simple. There isn't a tutorial, but rather a game manual which is a long block of text. But behind all this, though, is a lovely game. The strategy is complex, the levels show you real history, both through game play and blurbs that give context, and the game build lots of tension throughout the campaign as you struggle to keep your army in supply. Over all, I would recommend this game to anyone ready to put in the effort to understand the UI and master the difficulty curve.
