Assassin?s Creed?IV Black Flag? Time Saver: Technology Pack it's a time saver pack. This pack removes the requirement to find the 18 Upgrade Plans, which save a lot of time and some secundary missions, to upgrade your ship all at once if you have the resources to do it. This is good if you want to go ahead and do some ship missions and sea battles, those are really fun, but you'll also miss the fun of some secundary missions. Even tho, I recommend it.
The Technology Pack is actually a good Pack that among all the DLC's Black Flag has, this one has an advantage but also a disadvantage. Firstly, as you see also from the description, you no longer need to get all the Upgrade plans. That means, you can do various upgrades for ships now without the Plans (one warning like other DLC's have: It is applied/available at sequence 3 - Memory 04) BUT you will miss all the underwater moments. You can also search underwater for the collectibles. Some moments are 'scary' with the sharks lurking, but if you don't wanna deal with this to search here and there (though it's not boring, at all) and 'waste' time, go ahead and grab. I do recommend it because it's actually giving you something that's useful, but I don't recommend it if you want the easy way out because you will 'miss' the hunt (it's your choice though).
