Aveyond Lord of Twilight is the third installment of the Aveyond series and it falls short on the story when its compared to previous titles in the series. Aveyond 3 is 2D pixelated action RPG with turn based elements , there are many quests to tackle including both main and side quests and lots of loot to gain , you can explore dungeons with your picked companions , it's a lot of fun and I had a blast playing it despite my issues with its story , the script is super funny and there are hilarious missions to tackle , the map is absolutely huge and there's a whole lot of content to keep you occupied , there aren't many games like this out there , I would recommend this if you're a fan of this sort of RPG , just remember not to drink or eat during your play session to avoid splatter on your keyboard and monitor from laughter.
Aveyond: Lord of Twilight is very generic RPGMaker game. It would be nothing bad at it's own - many people like jRPGs, some (me myself included) like RPGMaker jRPGs as well. But in the recent flood of such a games - they need to stand out somehow - use their own artstyle - not premade assets, have unique game mechanics, hand made scripts, great story, be big/long enough to be worthwhile - anything other than all 90% rest of them. And sadly Lord of Twilight doesn't own any uniqueness to it. The game story is absolutely cliche, characters have no soul and their dialogues are very simple - they could as well be written by a teenager, combat mechanics use the most basic RPGMaker setting without any innovation, game uses same assets you've seen in tens of other games on Steam and at the top of that - it's not even 2 hours long! And RPG game that can be beaten in less than 2 hours is an absolute dealbreaker. I honestly don't see anyone I could recommend this game to - even if you're really a big fan of generic RPGMaker jRPGs you can find a lot of better ones for the same price. Or ones that are maybe not better but at least longer and will last you for couple of hours.
