Top of it's Class: A Masterpiece

There are so many great things about this game that I could type your ear off and provide a long read for everyone, but instead I'm going to keep this short. There really is no other game out there on the market quite like this game. A wonderful narrative driven story with combat movements and music that will keep you hooked on loving this game forever. 10/10 This game won't disappoint. I cannot express my feelings for this game into words other than this is a game you simply MUST play.

What a game should be

Bastion is a lovely designed game with astonishing visuals and music as well as easy to play controlls in an action/hack and slash RPG game from an isometric view. There is not more to say in a game that just does things the way it should be. It doesn't have any noticeable improvement or revolutionary game mechanic but it is perfect in everything he does: adaptive difficulty, replayability, everything gameplay related and everything non gameplay related. It could have improved some things, like that narrator which is constantly talking even when you are in a middle of an epic fight and you can't pay attention to what he is saying, or those weapons that devalues every time you grab a new one, but those are minor flaws in a game that does everything well.

Really Good RPG

When people talk about world building in rpgs, you don't expect actual world building. In Bastion, you do exactly that by rebuilding a fortress over time. The game just feels perfect from sound design, visuals, combat, to even the narrator himself. The game is really focused on the combat and it plays like a hack and slash. However, it hits that balance where it's just enough but not too much that it'll bore you. The enemies are varied and challenging to say the least, and they have their own backgrounds that you eventually come to realize. It was entertaining for me when I found out some of the enemies were a part of society in the past. If there was any other game to compare bastion to, I would compare it to Dark Souls. The lore and story isn't spoon fed to you, it comes to you in bits and pieces and making the final connection in the end makes it all worthwhile.

Fun, and a great story

Thius game includes a great story, with action, shooting and killing. As well music, songs and enjoyment. There won't be any part when you just go without action, without killing things or destorying things. There are many weapons in this game, upgradable and many other options (you can choose buffs and other things as well to make this game fun).

A timeless classic

This little gem comes from a time when there simply weren't many commercially successful indie titles and contributed in the establishment of today's scene. Supergiant Games has swept the market, and these were the key features that allowed their title to stand out from the midst of standard ARPGs: -Narration and Music: Every step you take gains additional weight as you hear that soothing voice. It's an experience one should really look forward to, enhances the whole game, every single moment of it. The soundtrack is hand down, one of the best OSTs of all time. Just listen to a few tracks, those were the reason I originally bought the game (without knowing much about it, no joke). -Aesthetics and Story: The two together, yes, as their synergy really improves the core experience. Look at those pictures, you haven't seen anything like, ever. The question arises in the player: what on earth happened to this place? Without spoiling much: a whole lot. -Customization: You can have 11(and one extra for a certain level) different weapons in your arsenal, each offering 10 different upgrades ( you can choose up to 5 of these at a time). Sounds good? How about over two dozen of "special moves" (aka Secret Skills) to chose the one best for you? Still not enough? How about 20 different drinks (or rather: passive perks) that you can have up to 10 of? Amazing stuff, grants a TON of replayability and makes the character - your character. -Attention to detail: I've played quite a few games, yet I still can't name another one with this much "soul" in it. This is rather hard to describe, but hopefully you'll see for yourself what I meant, whenever you equip a new combination of weapons, talk to NPCs and view the enlarged Bastion in it's full beauty.
