Game description

Experience the dawn of all-out war.

Battlefield™ 1 takes you back to The Great War, WW1, where new technology and worldwide conflict changed the face of warfare forever. Take part in every battle, control every massive vehicle, and execute every maneuver that turns an entire fight around. The whole world is at war – see what’s beyond the trenches.

Key Features:

Changing environments in locations all over the world. Discover every part of a global conflict from shore to shore – fight in besieged French cities, great open spaces in the Italian Alps, or vast Arabian deserts. Fully destructible environments and ever-changing weather create landscapes that change moment to moment; whether you’re tearing apart fortifications with gunfire or blasting craters in the earth, no battle is ever the same.

Huge multiplayer battles. Swarm the battlefield in massive multiplayer battles with up to 64 players. Charge in on foot as infantry, lead a cavalry assault, and battle in fights so intense and complex you'll need the help of all your teammates to make it through.

Game-changing vehicles. Turn the tide of battle in your favor with vehicles both large and larger, from tanks and biplanes to gigantic Behemoths, unique and massive vehicles that will be critical in times of crisis. Rain fire from the sky in a gargantuan Airship, tear through the world in the Armored Train, or bombard the land from the sea in the Dreadnought.

A new Operations multiplayer mode. In Operations mode, execute expert maneuvers in a series of inter-connected multiplayer battles spread across multiple maps. Attackers must break through the defense line and push the conflict onto the next map, and defenders must try to stop them.

 Reviews:

Gamespot - "With Battlefield 1, EA and DICE have proven the viability of World War 1 as a time period worth revisiting in first-person shooters".

Time - "A stupefyingly gorgeous first-person shooter."

Polygon - "Battlefield 1 proves that sometimes you have to step backward to move something forward."

Yeah, we know Battlefield 1 isn't the first Battlefield game, what the 1 in the name actually means is that the game is set during WWI, one of the most grueling and unforgiving wars in history. When going back in time to around 100 years ago, the technology is sure to change too. Out goes the sleek aeroplanes and in comes horse riding, complete with saber in hand. In addition to the maps that have made the series famous, there's also a fully-fledged campaign mode.

Due to the variation in World War I, expect to traverse across a range of different maps like Arabia, the Western front and even the Alps! This is a fresh change away from the slew of "Modern" shooters and should offer players something new and fresh! Battlefield 1 is sure to be one to keep an eye out for.

Battlefield 1: Out with the new & in with the old (Game style wise )

Battlefield 1 is a refreshing take on the tired franchise. It kicks off with a WWI setting so all of the weapons are on the same level no matter the side or the rank of the player & the real world destruction is beautiful in it's own right as well. The game feels more balanced & the issues that plagued BF4 seem to be all but gone. The huge open world maps are amazingly done as well. Though my only 2 gripes about this game is that there are no close quarters combat settings & the medal system sucks butt. But other than that I give the game a 10 out of 10 rating. If you are into the Battlefield series of games & Hard-line & Star Wars Battlefront didn't cut it for you then this might bring you the happiness that you lost in those 2 game titles.

Worth the Buy

I bought this game preorder for 46 bucks. I have played most of the battlefield games since BF2,1942 and 3, 4 and now BF1. BF1 has been extremely fun so far. It was 9 total maps. They also going to release another map free with next patch. The game reminds me of how awesome BF1942 was back in the day. Hands down this is one of the best battlefield games I have played and I like the WWI time period that they focused on. The single player campaign is short and honestly not that great to it in my opinion, but then again you are probably not buying this game for the single player. It is worth the buy, especially for 46 dollars which is what I purchased for it.

Fun!

This game is really fun to play! The graphics are really good and there are cool vehicles, and I got it at a really low price! The only things I don't like are how long it takes to unlock some things. You can't unlock weapons if your class rank is 4-9, you have to wait until level 10 to get the last weapon.

Very Very Good!

I purchased on release day and have been hooked since! The game-play is fast a fluent, unlike the other Battlefield's this takes more of a emphasis on a "run & gun" type of style which is a breath of fresh air for the franchise. The only couple of bad point of this game in my opinion it is that the battlepack system is totally random and unfair as the game randomly decides at the end of game who gets a battlepack. Also there isn't many games at face value. There many variants of the same gun but it kinda feels lazy this way. All in all this is a brilliant game!
