If you're a fan of Bridge Constructor, this is more of the same but with a reasonably decent amount of extra content included for the price. It won't set the world on fire, it's very much more of the same, but it gave me a solid few hours entertainment for the admission price.
Bridge Constructor Trains adds 18 new levels with the goal of designing a bridge that will allow passenger and freight trains to pass. Gameplay wise not much has been changed in this expansions, you will still be assigned a budget and building materials on each level, with the goal being to construct a bridge sturdy enough that it will get the required train across it successfully. You can lay down different types of material such as wood or concrete with each piece having different attributes and costs, and each leaving white circles that will allow you to attach new pieces to them. It is a cheap expansion that will be enjoyed by fans who want more content but it doesn't really change things up or add any interesting mechanics or new tools. A mode that just allows you to construct bridges without budget restrictions and on your own background choice would have been a nice thing to add.
Its basically the same thing but with trains, if that is your kinda thing, then go for it. The trains are not licensed and just basic mock ups, of if you are thinking that you can try to see if your bridge can support the EuroStar train, then you are out of luck. You do get 18 extra levels tho. So thats a plus.
