In Bus Driver, your job is to transport passengers around an attractive and realistic city. You must drive to a timetable on a planned route, whilst obeying traffic rules, and taking care not to upset or injure your passengers. This makes Bus Driver unlike any other driving game - the experience of driving a bus is very different from blazing through a racing circuit.
Bus Driver offers 12 different kinds of buses to drive, an expansive city environment with various districts, and 30 routes with varying weather conditions set at differing times of day.
A very good game ... If you like to drive buses of course. It is a quiet game where you are simply a bus driver and you are taking people from one terminal to another as any bus driver does. It has different routes and several levels of routes, from the beginning the routes are the shortest and to the end the longest. I always wanted to have this game and I like to play it from time to time, so I recommend it if you want to be a bus driver when you want without having to get a job from that.
I used to work in a store that among other things sold budget video games. I bought this one for like a buck, as a joke, but i come to like it very much. It's not really a simulator, because while you have to pay attention to a lot of things, it's not that hard to drive, and the game doesn't forget to be fun as well. There's even a level, where you drive a prison bus! Ah, good times :) Anyway, if you want a cute little game, that basically runs on a toaster, this is for you :)
Starting off this game is quite old, so it will run on basically any computer that you buy ever. I wouldn't spend the usual price on it though and wait for a sale or a discount code, or even both. It's a bit difficult at times as it's glitchy; very glitchy. Very easy to cheat with, such as going left and right with the indicators will get you points. It's a basic simulator, I wouldn't spend over a couple pounds for it. It's extremely relaxing though as it's so simple. Not fast paced at all. The AI are extremely stupid though, so watch out for that. Get it once it's on sale, you'll probably like it if you like driving.
I remember this being my first game in my new pc before I got my graphics card and I loved it as it was a very relaxing game and it helps us understands what a bus driver goes through and how difficult it is.
Don't be fooled by it's somewhat outdated graphics and arcade looks; the game has atmosphere and relaxing fun if you can open yourself up to it. The busses handle like they have the proper weight and there are plenty of busses to choose from. The city breathes life, is open to drive in and is surprisingly large. You have some basic road rules to follow but you don't have to worry about any time limit: the game is more about driving safe than being on time unless you care about high scores.
