Dark Souls III, in terms of gaming, will take you away from some of the other Souls and take you on your way to Bloodborne. But on the other hand, the originality and spirit of the previous versions of the game are still blown up here, and the same feeling is inspired. At times, bonfires and faster gaming may discourage you a bit, but never hurt the main structure of the game and do not spoil its experience. In one conclusion, the FromSoftware studio once again offers a deep, beautiful, and sophisticated experience with Dark Souls 3. An experience that may show some weaknesses in a few scenes. But even with these weaknesses, the game is another success story in its studio studio, and is definitely one of the top games of this generation. The loss of Dark Souls III is an unforgivable mistake, and its experience is beyond the necessary. Do not hesitate, do not even stop for a second and start the game. Dark Souls III is one of the most valuable games of the eighth generation that you must play it.
Very good entry in the series. Lots of throwbacks to Demon Souls on PS3. lots of gear to find, and very fun with a friend. The DLC s add some nice new gear and cool locations. Be ready to learn from your mistakes or die again.
First off, I pre-ordered the deluxe edition from GMG and it was available the minute the game was released on Steam. No problems with serial keys, no problem with online play, and no problems with anything related to transactions. It was my first time ordering from this site, and I have their trust for future purchases. As for DS3, it is very similar to the previous Demon's Souls/Dark Souls games. The plots are loosely tied together, and there are some recurring themes/characters. Below is the breakdown. Graphics 9/10: This series is finally available at 1080p and 60 FPS out of the box. I am playing with a GTX 970 and overall, the game caps at 60FPS for most of the gameplay. Sometimes, certain areas can dip to the 50's, but it is still acceptable. The graphics are very well done and the animations are accurate. Sounds 9/10: The sounds are also well done. They are both nostalgic to previous games while maintaining a sense of realism when I am running away from a fire breathing dragon, or barely dodging a giant hammer that's being flung in my general direction. The voice acting is great. Gameplay: 8/10 I am mixed when it comes to gameplay. The game plays very similar to Dark souls I and this makes me very happy as my biggest complaint with Dark souls II was the "clunky" controls that plagued it. While the controls are improved, there are some major problems with hitbox detection, timing of parry, dodging mechanics, etc. With that said, as you become more experienced you learn to incorporate that into your play style and adjust accordingly. It's still annoying when it comes to PvP, but overall it doesn't hinder the experience. The boss fights are thrilling, and figuring out how to approach them (depending on your class) is a real challenge. Gone are the days of tank and spank. Story/Atmosphere: 8/10 While it does have it's ties to other Souls games, I wished there was more reference and links to previous Souls games. As I mentioned, there are sense of nostalgia from other games, and some recurring characters, but overall I felt that there was a lot more to build on. These games aren't necessarily focused on story, but comparing it to Bloodborne (which had a fantastic story IMO), it's dull. Overall: 9/10 This game is definitely worth a few playthroughs. The experience is different enough each time depening on your character class. NG+ is a great experience as well, since many people are still super active with things like "fight clubs". The multiplayer and factions have been fixed versus previous games, allowing for many invasions and good times. If you haven't played yet, this one is worth the pricetag.
