I personally think Dark Souls III: Season Pass is really worth the price, because it offers contents that concludes the story of DS series, and every fan should have it. the gameplay of these ones is almost the same as you have seen in base game but it has some very challenging boss fights with some cool weapons and armors along with it which you can use them in fights, and its exactly what you can expect from an original Souls game. the duration of all DLC parts are reasonably long enough and it mostly depends on your gaming style and how you play it, So if you are one of die hard fans of Dark Souls games I dare to say this Season Pass definitely worth the price and you will absolutely enjoy every bit of it!
So, after not that bad expansion to DS Atorias of the Abyss, great The Lost Crowns trilogy and incredibly awesome The Old Hunters to Bloodborne and tendency of expansions getting better and better, my expectations for DS3 DLC were pretty high, especially considering this is presumably last Dark Souls game (personally, I expect another one, probably from different studio - you don't kill the cash cow), I think I wasn't the only one expecting the series to go with the bang, be crowning achievement of expansions and teach game industry a thing or two about making them. Instead it's... meh. Ashes of Ariandel could be considered worst offender, since it falls into pitfall of obligatory (and nowadays popular) multiplayer DLC - most bang of your buck you will get from that if you PvP a lot, but if you don't care, you have like maybe 4-5 hours tops, so not that impressive. Now for Ringed City and it's just okay, but sadly nothing amazing. It shows running out of ideas for bosses and there are not that many new things, like say, Old Hunters to Bloodborne did. Also, it's another 4-5 hours, maybe 8 if you're really, really taking your time. I guess if you get cheap GOTY edition, there is not that much to complain about, because you get more of the same for less, but shelling out 20 pounds/25 euro for SP alone feels like a rip-off after previous expansions.
New weapons armour and areas to explore. I put a tonne of time into dark souls and this content is certainly up to the caliber of the series. There's new maps, enemies, bosses and a substantial amount of content still in the pipeline. It is a must buy for Souls fans.
Dark Souls III is an extremely entertaining game which erased almost every flaw of the previous titles. Pros: + Astonishing level design and artwork + Outstanding indirect storytelling + A high variety of enemies + The combat system has been optimized for an even more fluent gameplay + A masterfully composed soundtrack which adds perfectly to the atmosphere of the game + It is way easier to create or join online parties by now. It used to be more difficult in DS 1&2 + The boss fights are very challenging and memorable + A high replayability + Tons of weapons and skills to upgrade Cons: - Rare but frustrating performance issues - The anti cheat system is horrible. Cheaters who enter your world can cause you to get banned for being hit by their modified weapons, and judging from several chat forums the developers do not care dealing with that issue, leaving innocent players banned. I luckily haven't encountered this problem so far but this is unacceptable and needs to be dealt with. You could bypass this danger by playing in Offline mode though. Conclusion Dark Souls III is one of the best videogame experiences you can get. The challenging difficulty, the lovely designed world and the perfectly optimized combat system will tantalize you to keep playing it.
