I don't know which bothers me more. When they remeke a game, and slap on it the same title as the original, or when they remake a game, and give it a title that suggests that it's a sequel. Then again, maybe i'm overthinking this... So, doom 3 is a game, that looks extremely pretty, even to this day, and works great, plays great, and even has a story that's while not the greatest ever, really works well with the horror game setting. The notes and audio logs just make the whole thing alive, and even more creepy. And, let's be honest, it's great to see the horrors of our childhood all grown up, remade in more detail. My only beef with the game is the damn flashlight. Sure, it makes it scarier, but damn....why don't he just tapes the thing to his helmet or something???

Even though most "scary" games don't really do much for me, there were more than a few occasions where the "scare factor" of this game actually made me jump. A lot of this game takes place in very dark areas, and those are normally the spots where you will turn around suddenly and see this freaky looking demon staring you right in the eyes - and you jump in surprise. Besides from the scare factor, this game also offers lots of exciting, very challenging moments. The story keeps you going right till the very end. The graphics are very good. The ambient music and noises help add to the over-all feel of the game. Basically, this is a really good game, that not only is fun to play, but has a great replay-ability factor. Give this game a try, you won't be disappointed!

DOOM 3 is the most polarizing game in the DOOM series to date or taking a survival horror approach over the fast paced guns blazing action that defined the first two groundbreaking masterpieces. However, with an open mind and the knowledge that you're in for a different kind of game than before, DOOM 3 is surprisingly fun and tense. It's true that you quickly get used to the scares because the game really only scares you one way the entire through, but the foreboding atmosphere which includes demonic voices in the background, tight, dark corridors and a gloomy soundtrack makes it worth experiencing. The modern re-visioning of the enemies are nicely done and the pinkies in particular are frightening to look at. Unfortunately, you'll fight less than a handful throughout the entire game. The action more than makes up for it though. Enemies will constantly ambush you from multiple directions, even sneaking up behind you, ensuring that you'll always have to be on your toes to succeed, especially on higher difficulties. And after awhile, the game finds a nice, comfortable groove between action and all-out horror that is still effective if played in a dark room with headphones on. It may not quite be the sequel all of us wanted, but DOOM 3 is a gorgeous and interesting take on the series that is a nice fit in modern times.

This game is awesome, and the best out of the 3 on BFG edition. The style of gameplay kept to the classic game style, the noises, sound effects and lightening gives a great atmosphere in every level. The best and worst about it is the difficulty, it can get frustrating at times on hard difficulty, as one or two shots kills you. But that makes it a proper survival horror. This game is defiantly worth it for the fun dialogue, really enjoyable gameplay and one of few decent survival horror games

As a 35 years old I grow up with doom. When i am in high school i played so much that i can finish nightware difficulty for the first 5 levels of doom. It's was both fun and funny to shoot at Alien that suppose to be big and scray because of the lack of graphics and detail. This game completly changed that. It use a huge step up in graphics from the old doom and made this game into a very scrary game. It's even worse the dead space I. The story is so-so and even though the graphics change it can still be improved. Music is much well done compare to the other doom game. Enough talking i am going to play it again!
