A groundbreaking, uber-popular game upon its arcade debut in 1987, Double Dragon is the undisputed godfather of co-op beat ‘em all!
Enter Double Dragon Trilogy, a compilation including all three installments of the beloved arcade series: Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2: The Revenge, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone. The first one begins with Billy and his brother Jimmy, two martial arts experts, in a mission to rescue Billy's girlfriend, Marian, who’s been kidnapped by the Black Shadows Gang. All your favorite moves are here: punches, kicks, elbows, knees, head-butts and an assortment of not-exactly-street-legal weapons.
Battle your way through all 3 titles and bask in the greatness of one of the ‘80s most popular arcade games!
• Two game modes: “Arcade” (play the game from beginning to end and go for the high score) and “Story” (unlock new stages and achievements while playing through the game)
• Customizable controls (keyboard & controller)
• Three difficulty levels: “easy” (easier than the original), “original” (similar to the arcade version) and “expert” (a real challenge!)
• Choose between the original 8-bit soundtrack and a brand-new remastered one!
• Choose between the original graphics or video filter
• Achievements, leaderboards
• Coop (local + multi)
Ever since I first tried Golden Axe arcade cabinet, I was enamored with the genre. And this here trilogy contains what I consider to be a peak moment for the beat'em-ups. Seriously, go try it, you won't be disappointed. Be sure to check reimagined Double Dragon Neon as well, it has great gameplay and nice music to go with the proposed graphics.
These games are almost flawlessly ported on the PC. The video filter just makes things blurry, so you're best just leaving it off. You may want to set the scanlines to about 20 for that old CRT TV look and feel. If you were into the Double Dragon games back in the day, buy this. If you're too young to remember how awesome the Double Dragon games were back in the day, buy this. There's nothing better than seeing where some of the great games of today came from.
Love the first game and second the third well not a huge fan but was worth it just for the first 2 arcade hits! I love the first most of all the sound the side scrolling action of a true classic but all 3 for $5.99 is a great deal I couldn't pass it up even though i find myself playing the first game time and time again just can't get enough of this instant arcade classic!
Soon after double dragon Neon wich I recommend to everyone cause it's 10/10 beat'em up top game of this genre the Double dragon Trilogy showed up. What's the difference between this and NEON. DD Neon in my opinion is for completely everybody, it's so enjoyable game, beautiful with gorgeous graphics and dandy gameplay. This one is for arcade veterans who spended some time and arcade machines playing double dragon alongside turok, final fights, street fighter, tekken, mortal kombat, metal slug. Those were the times... It's enhanced graphics instead of completely remake with new graphics like Neon, but it wasn't supposed to look that way, it's blinkin' an eye to old gamers. What can be said more, if you ever played double dragon game then it's a sin to not check out the trilogy and play through DD 1,2,3 again, it's one of those very nostalic sensitive titles that you want sink into. If you never played double dragon then I suggest purchasng Double Dragon Neon cause this graphics won't be impressive for nowa days standards and level of difficulty wich is harder.
Double Dragon Triligy is an arcade game of the fighting kind which is very good and brings nostalgia to the player if he used to play it back in the late 80's. The game itself is a classic, with a great gameplay making the experience very fun. The artstyle is awesome, but the graphics are not ao good because it is a very old game. The sounds are really unique, makinh the game more intense. Overall, it is a great game, but I only recommend this to people who used to play arcade games, since its very simple. Anyway, I think a lot of people will have fun playing it!
