Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward marks the first expansion for the MMO, letting players raise their level cap beyond 50, build custom airships as part of a free Company, and take to the skies on the back of flying mounts.
The new realm, Ishgard, is steeped in a thousand-year war between dragons and knights, and you're thrown straight into the middle of all of it. The new areas in Heavensward are vast, much bigger than those found in A Realm Reborn, but they're also varied – from verdant plains to snowy wastes and crystalline mountain ranges.
Final Fantasy XIV looks better than ever before, thanks to full DirectX 11 support, and it feels totally authentic, perhaps more so than other recent, single-player Final Fantasy release.
Please note: The registration code included in this version is not compatible with the Steam version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. To play on Steam, please buy the Steam version of the game once it becomes available.
Please also note that FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward is only an expansion pack and FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is required to play the game.

Final Fantasy XIV really turned into an amazing MMO over the last few years. At first it started out as a total failure, lot's of lag, not much to do and then they rereleased the game under A Real Reborn and that is when the magic happened. So many quests to do, so many dungeons to play, and this expansion added even more, and introduced flying in the new area's. If you didn't try Final Fantasy XIV yet, then don't buy the expansion just yet, because you are required to play through the story content of a realm reborn and reach level 50 before you can even get through the gates to enter Heavensward, even the new classes are only available when you reached that location. But that is the cool thing about this game, there are no shortcuts, you have to earn everything, and you will be proud. But don't be afraid, there is a great community that can help you clear all the content, give you answers to your questions. What I like about this game is that even when you reached maximum level, there is still so much to do, and content keeps getting added. There are loads of other players, also because PC gamers, PS3 and PS4 gamers are playing on the same servers, even more than half of the Free Company (guild) I'm in plays on a PS4. Another cool thing is that you can do everything on 1 character, pick up a bow, your an archer, pick up a spear, then your a lancer. And you can level those skills up from 1 to 60 for each class. The same goes for gathering and crafting skills. Also the crafting is very complex, because it's more then getting the correct items and push a big lucky button to see what happens. You need to use several skill buttons while crafting 1 item. This game is also perfect for the casual and more hardcore players. It's not too easy to complete the story, but there are extreme dungeons, trials and raids waiting in the end that aren't required, but give you an extra challenge in case you have done everything else. The story is impressive, but I won't tell anything about it because that would just spoil everything.
