Probably the version you want to get if you enjoy the game

Hybrid Wars is a top down twin stick shooter that allows you to fight on foot or in tanks, mechs, and helicopters. When you start the game you have one hero to select and another that can be unlocked if you login to the game's multiplayer, another is available if you get the deluxe edition. There are some short voice and text scenes between each mission but the story isn't anything interesting, you will go into levels destroying everything in your way to accomplish whatever your objective is, enemies units can be captured and made to fight for you with EMP grenades if you are playing as the base hero, and you eventually will be able to enter and exit vehicles that might have their own super weapons. Each of the hero characters has a different main and secondary weapon and two other features that can be a mech loadout or passive ability. When you are on the ground you can make use of a jetpack to get over obstacles or to help avoid things. It can be an amusing game but for what it is the price is somewhat high, character selection is limited, weapons and customization options are limited, gameplay isn't varied enough, the graphics are poor, and it just doesn't offer the range of options of a game like Helldivers or the low price of a game like Halo Spartan Assault. The deluxe edition of the game will give you the usual artbook and soundtrack, neither being very interesting in this game's case as those aren't the game's strong suits. You will also gain access to a third character to play as, and for less than $2 extra if you enjoy the game that will probably make this the version that you want to buy. The new character makes use of a flamethrower and rockets as his main weapons.
