Similar to the Telltale games, Life is Strange is an interactive tale, which tells you a mostly linear story. The player character "Max" has the ability to turn back time for a few moments, or, later in the game, going far back in time to any moment in her life, by looking on one of her photos. This is quite similar to the movie "The Butterfly Effect". You're playing a teenage/young adult character on a high school and therefore you're confronted with typically high school problems. besides mastering your daily school problems, the main goal of the story is to find a vanished girl. this kinda reminded me of the "Veronica Mars" series, because you do all these little detective like stuff. Another great thing in the game are the characters. I can't remember of a single dull character. every person had a unique and interesting personality, even the story-unimportant ones. especially Max' friend (or sidekick) Chloe will grow fond on you. the wonderful Soundtrack alongside with the atmospheric art style lets you stare at the monitor and enjoy the little things in life (is strange). Overall a clear recommendation if you like high school drama, with the theory of time travel ala Butterfly Effect.
