Haunted by the murder of his surrogate family, Lincoln joins Father James at Sammy’s to find closure. But on their arrival, they collide with a deranged cult using sites of suffering and loss for human sacrifices and ritualistic horrors. With all-new vehicles, weapons, and investigative tools, Lincoln plunges deep into this dark world of drugs and violence to end the cult’s reign of terror and just maybe find his own kind of peace.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Sign of the Times is part of the Season Pass. If you own the Season Pass, you should not purchase Sign of the Times, as you already are entitled to it.
The Ensanglante cult is hell-bent on restoring righteousness and order to New Bordeaux, which they believe can be accomplished through violent rituals. Using a hallucinogenic drug to bend its members to their will, the cult distorts their perception of reality and turns them into killers.
INVESTIGATING RITUAL SITES
Lincoln will use new investigation skills and tools to track and document the cult’s grisly practices through derelict locations across the city. His spec ops trained eye will crack their codes and uncover a base of operations hidden in an abandoned Sanitarium off the coast of New Bordeaux.
NEW TACTICS AND TOYS
The mysterious and violent practices of the Ensanglante cult will push Lincoln’s grip on reality to the brink. To stay one step ahead, he’ll need to employ the all-new slow-mo shooting combat technique and engage an expanded arsenal of weapons and vehicles. Defeating the Ensanglante cult would be a boon to the city, one that will reward Lincoln with unique and exclusive items.
FROM THE ASHES
Before the Marcanos burned it down, there was no better place for a drink in the Hollow than Sammy’s. With a bit of hard work, Lincoln will restore the bar to its former glory and make it a premier destination again.
Mafia III: Sign of the Times is exactly how a story driven dlc of the game supposed to be, this time it seems the developers understood what this game really needs as an extra story expansion and they did almost their best job to do so. If you experienced other dlcs of the game you notice that Mafia III: Sign of the Times is far better that them in every aspect. and guess what?! this turns Lincoln to a real detective in the game and with its interesting story and extra stuff which offers you keeps you real busy and intrigued to play it. also as for the gameplay part it kinda evolves and makes you feel a bit different than the original and it's more like a investigating game with a decent story. so if you want to buy a dlc for Mafia 3, I definitely suggest you to buy this one, because unlike the others ones you will not be disappointed!
I feel this is the most interesting DLC pack for Mafia III with the story of the DLC feeling more intrinsically linked to the main story than the others which take place in their own isolated areas rather than in the main New Bordeux region. If I only had to pick one of the 3 main DLC packs for the game, I'd pick this one, its actually worth the price they're charging and would be even better value if bought during a sale. Whilst the other DLC packs offer some interesting post-experience content, those packs seem to have slightly blander experiences to obtain the content they deliver and are still priced higher than Sign of the Times.
Mafia III: Sign of the Times is perhaps the best DLC for this game so far. I really like the story, it's dark, atmospheric and well written. Apart from that, we get new cars and weapons, speaking of which we can now slow down time while shooting. To make your money worth we also get the ability to repair and expand Sammy's bar, sadly some mission connecting this aspect is a bit boring. Still, it is a very good DLC for a reasonable price.
