Metal Tales: Fury of the Guitar Gods is an action and adventurous game. A good thing about this game is that there are a lot of features and characters. This game is a decent Binding of Isaac clone with a different setting. The main differences with BoI are the proper Coop mode, the controller support/360? aiming instead of just 4 directions, and the Metal music that gives the game its name. Sure, there are plenty of things that could be improved, such as proper visibility of some gameplay elements, or bosses with too much life, but I'm sure some of them will be improved in future updates.

Binding of Issac meets metal

Metal Tales Fury of the Guitar Gods is a top down shooter with a focus on metal rock, something that seems to be fairly common lately. The game has some elements that are similar to Binding of Issac in that it is a rougelike with procedurally generated rooms and items to collect. Where it differs is the ability to play local co-op and that you can shooting at any angle, 360 degrees, rather than just four directions. You will enter a rooms that will have a random layout with enemies, collectibles, and possible breakable objects, some rooms might also be trap rooms with things for you to avoid, or challenge rooms where you can activate a lot of enemies to fight for a reward. It's an ok shooter but I really wasn't impressed by the music and their really isn't much satisfaction in fighting and killing enemies, the art and design of enemies isn't that interesting, and the rooms are dull as well. It gives more options than a lot of games like this but also has a higher price to go with it. Like many indie games, limiting co-op to local play also renders that feature pointless for most people.
