OMG, this game is so.much.fun! It's so fast, so hectic, so fun! The perfect game for me to unwind after a long day. I didn't really have to think much about the gameplay, just follow the directions, move and smash into the enemies. Also, the story is funny, it's sad, it's touching, just like the anime, or so my friends told me (I've only watched a few episodes, LOL). + Worked well with my 360 controller + Many playable characters + Like watching a summary of the anime + HACK & SLASH & SMASH & RUSH your way through the enemies + Many combos + Good length + Anime graphics + Didn't experience any crash - Repetitive gameplay It's been a while since I last played this, so if there was any other cons, I don't remember any of it now. XP My Rating: 8/10
After reading about this spin off of Dynasty Warrior series that was only available on consoles I waited for part 3 which was said to be finally available on PC. Gameplay like most DW game is highly monotonous but fun nevertheless. The main formula was practically unchanged, as it's based on manga we take part in big chunk of a story presented there, additionally the developer introduced custom scenarios that greatly extend the time of gameplay require to beat the game 100%. Fun if you like One Piece.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 isn?t the best warriors game nor is it the worst. Visually, the game is average at most. This may be due to the fact that the pc port comes from the last generation. Thankfully, the port features the original Japanese voices so players like myself don?t have to suffer through unsynced voices. Throughout the Warriors series, the biggest weakness has been the gameplay. In One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, the gameplay is a lot more interesting. It?s more than a simple button-mashing brawler-type game. For one, you can dash-cancel your moves to dodge attacks which is great because we?re no longer trapped by animations. Sadly, the game?s difficulty is terribly easy even on the hardest difficulty. There is a huge absence of challenging mechanics and factors such as the lack of enemy scaling. Overall, OPPW3 features great gameplay but lacks the difficulty to accompany it. Players who enjoy a challenge like myself are ultimately going to be disappointed by the casual nature of the game.
