Dive into an incredible adventure in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS!
Experience a fresh take on the world first found in Pokémon Sapphire Version, which came out for Game Boy Advance in 2003. With enhanced graphics and all-new content, get set to prove you’re the best Pokémon Trainer in the region, as you capture, train and battle with your Pokémon in this engrossing RPG!
Take a journey through the Hoenn region, where two large organisations with opposing aims are locked in struggle: Team Aqua and Team Magma. Team Aqua seeks to raise the oceans in the Hoenn region, while Team Magma wishes to expand the landmass. In Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Team Aqua holds more power, while Team Magma plays the more prominent role in Pokémon Omega Ruby. Whichever version you pick, you’ll find yourself drawn into the heart of the conflict!
The story starts when you move to Littleroot Town: you’ll get to choose from three Pokémon for your first partner. Every Pokémon has a type, and you can choose between the Grass-type Treecko, the Fire-type Torchic and the Water-type Mudkip. Whichever you pick, raising your Pokémon with care is always important if you want a powerful partner – it might be able to pull off a fantastic Mega Evolution in the right circumstances, allowing it to tap into even greater strength! Keep an eye out for two new Legendary Pokémon called Groudon, who created the land, and Kyogre, who created the seas, too. Each has a newly revealed transformation known as Primal Reversion!
One way to develop a deep bond with your Pokémon is the Pokémon-Amie feature, which lets you get closer to your Pokémon by stroking them, playing games with them, and feeding them special snacks called Poké Puffs. The more you care for your Pokémon, the better they perform. Beyond battles, you can also show off your Pokémon in Pokémon Contest Spectaculars to see who has the most appeal across five categories: Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness and Toughness. Keep winning your way through the ranks while aiming for the Master Rank!
Of course, you’re not alone in the Hoenn region, as there are many other Pokémon Trainers. They’re all aiming to become the best of the best: the Champion. To take that crown for yourself, you must challenge each of the Gym Leaders you encounter to earn Gym Badges. Obtain all eight, and you’ll be able to face the Pokémon League, where you'll challenge the Elite Four, and eventually, the Champion themself!
During your journey, you'll be able to create your very own Super-Secret Base, a space that's all your own. But that's not even the best part – you'll be able to connect with other players around the world to share your Super-Secret Bases! If you find base owners that you like, you can scout them as one of your Secret Pals. Once you've become Secret Pals, your Pal can use ‘special skills’ to support you on your adventure. You can also prove your skills online by battling Trainers through the Player Search System (PSS). For a different challenge, opt for 2 vs. 2 or even 3 vs. 3 battles, and trade Pokémon with other Trainers from around the world!
With new Mega Evolutions, classic online battles, and a total graphical overhaul, epic RPG action awaits in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, only on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS!
Capture, train and battle Pokémon across the Hoenn region to become a master Trainer, and perhaps witness Mega Evolution!
Use Pokémon-Amie and Poké Puffs to bond with your Pokémon, then enter Pokémon Contest Spectaculars to see if yours has the most appeal
Battle and trade with other Trainers via Local Play or online
Create your own Super-Secret Base, then visit your friends’ Secret Bases!
Whoever liked the early Pokemon games, it was most likely that he played Sapphire or Ruby back in the days in the Gameboy SP. Now that both of them are here in 3DS, I gotta say that they did a really good job. I like the fact that it's all 3D now. It's all freshly made and suitable for 3DS as it should be. I think we all know how Pokemon works and what we can do everytime we play. It's the things we all like to do. Go to lots of gyms, meet & battle other trainers, catch a big list of Pokemon, explore different places that your journey will take you and more. It's a really fun game, as long as you're into Pokemon, of course. Just my opinion, but I'd choose the Sapphire version rather than Ruby edition. Nothing wrong with it though.
